I never heard of grouting vinyl tiles, I had vinyl tiles installed in my kitchen and bathroom they didn't do grouting on any of them and I paid a lot of money to those guys. Now the tiles are popping up and out everywhere. I'm going to try doing it myself this time, the right way. Thank you for sharing this wonderful DIY. @@a.palmer2957 Wellllll, I had some plumbing work done and the plumber caused water damage to the floor. The plumber had to pay for damages with included a re-tile of the floor. So, I actually did not have to do it.😄😄But, I am going to look for different projects I can use the stick and peel. Very nice of you to ask about an update. Thank you so much!!

Such a gorgeous bathroom. So much brighter and spacious looking even though the actual square footage didn't change. It is interesting that the larger tile and lighter wall paint made the bathroom bigger. The way it was before made the bathroom dark and dungeon like.

lol...Yes..that is Scary, aint no other way to say it....turns out i have hardwood floors!.....under the carpet was...white paint..& under that was Old Oak....somebody just decided to slather white paint on the hardwood floors...i guess the yearly washing & waxing was too much...what a job to get all that paint off!...& the floors are Fine, there was no reason to paint them, nothing to hide...what a Ton of work! DIY is my Life...by no means wealthy, i am below poverty level..so..did the work myself...Fair Warning, Camille...you might wish ya never started it..but..just keep the image of it all done & Beautiful in your mind, like the carrot on a stick, & carry On...it is Soooo Worth it!

Just keep in mind that if you rip the carpet out and the sponge under, there is gonna be staples left behind.. I remember when we ripped my mom's living room carpet I spend 3 days on my knees to remove the staples with plyers tool and if it broke I just hamered down where I couldn't feel it in my fingers

I used the paper of a previous tile, lined it up and used a pencil to give me the outline I needed to cut. Hope this helps Edit: also I used extra adhesive as they shift otherwise

I posted before but wanted to add - that grout on the tile you guys chose to add really thakes these up a notch. You can put these down without grouting but the look is much cleaner with the grout.

Good job on your upgrade! We just powersanded with a circular grade grit on the floor. Alot less effort than using a putty knife except for corners it worked really great and was effective.
