Good job on speaker build. Hope u are taking care of distance from back wall minimum 1ft is good for speakers having back firing port. It is my experience that bookshelf speakers sound best when they are placed on decent quality heavy speaker stands isolated from floor with spikes. It takes same or more space as tower speakers. Just a thought otherwise not compulsory.

First of all, your drivers selection is very good! You goes for branded drivers rather than local wastes. Overall finishing looks quite impressive and 18mm mdf gives you actual response of punches from woofers. Two things just wanna tell you that, acoustics foam is not good at all for book shelf systems (it's mainly used in studios) use good quality pollyfill for better response( I've tried both, really using a good quality pollyfill gives you much satisfaction than foam) and you may use white/black double sided tape(easily available in craft stores and local markets) in those areas where you have used hot glue. lastly wanna know, what amplifier you have used here ? For these high quality drivers, class D is always the best solution!

Good points ... For the damping material , i must say both polyfill and acoustic foam would work the same .. the difference is .. polyfill is quite cheaper than the acoustic foam. both the materials are generally flammable so need to take care of that. In my case, i have observed more damping in acoustic foam then polyfill but the normal high density cotton that is being used in the Quilt (Rajaai) works very much the same as acoustic foam. Secondly , to be honest the double sided tape is actually a terrible idea to be used when placing speakers in the cabinet because it can stick the driver to the cabinet with very high force and it will be very hard to unmount the driver from the cabinet. It is better to use Gasket tape , that is a foam type tape with only one side adhesive. it is very common to find that on amazon by typing "speaker gasket tape" on search bar. 🙂🙂 Lastly, i am hopefully ordering soon from doogesound to check myself the integrity of drivers. i am quite doubtful by looking at their T's parameters and Frequency Response Graphs. 😶😶
@parthasarathimanna8790
@parthasarathimanna8790 2 жыл бұрын
@@manjulwalia1995 acoustics foam works well, but if I talks according to price, a good quality well densed pollyfill works same as foam, but much less in price. And yes, speaker gasket tape works perfect! But double sided tape works much better than adding glue.
