@urdaddywingnut78206 жыл бұрын
Well, if you've ever doubted how well you come across, DON'T. Because (at least) I think you do it really well. You don't get hung up on all the BS that doesn't do any good to the video, and the core of your tutorials are very solid. And any extra questions can be handled rather quickly in the comments section. I've made several comment in your threads, and you have always been pretty quick to get back. That's another think not often found with other channels. Maybe that's one of the perks of being a smaller channel

Don't know if you're still reading comments, but this is absolutely amazing. Thanks for this guide. I was looking around to see how much it was going to cost me to ship my case somewhere to get a simple design done, but now I know with some practice that I can do it at home. Thanks!!

so how detailed of a cutout can these vinyl cutters perform? I have a really neat idea in mind but the cutout would be pretty intricate. Plus... i don't have a vinyl cutter haha.
@DIYTechTube7 жыл бұрын
+Timezown Pretty intricate. The problem is not how small the details can get, the problem is getting tiny details to transfer over to the case correctly. Your details will be impossible to transfer before they're too small to cut

damn20201 This cream only works on glass. If you want the same effect on acrylic, it's even easier. All you'd have to do is apply the stencil to the acrylic, and take sandpaper and scratch the design into the acrylic. It gives it the same frosted look.

Is the lighting effect similar if the LEDs are placed behind the logo? I mean in your video, you placed the LEDS on the bottom so that the light shines through the glass. Would the RGB lights shining from the case to the etched glass still illuminate the custom etched logo? Thanks for creating your video btw.

I know this is an older video, curious is this stuff perfectly safe to use on the tempered glass or is there a chance it could damage it to a point of shattering might be a dumb question but overall very curious of how it holds up and all that good stuff
@gregcorwin83162 жыл бұрын
Under most conditions any modification to tempered glass is a very bad idea, but the etching cream only affects the surface of the glass and shouldn't cause any problems at all. In fact I know of cases where glass manufacturers have used this method to apply required safety glazing information on already tempered glass and if the folks that manufacture the glass are okay with doing this then it seems to me that it's a solid, if maybe not an official, endorsement.

CRSTNA screw the sand off to the mother board then use some epoxy resin and put some on the bottom of the stand offs then put the board in and screw the others in to hold it while the epoxy dries or get a drill and drill out the holes then thread them and attach the stand off

Vatablous Devil It probably doesn't work on acrylic, on the amazon page it specifically says it doesn't. If you want the same frosted look on acrylic though, you can stick the stencil on there and take sandpaper and just scratch the design into the acrylic. It gives it the same look.
