This was perfect as a vanity desk for me. kzbin.infoUgkxMAlHv7-BBWMrPRm5-uEoD6rtdT7SG2Qr Especially the glossy finish. Easy to cleanI was looking for something that wasn't the traditional white and with more of a modern feel. This fit the bill beautifully. I put it together with no problems, by myself in under an hour.Make sure you double check where you place the drawer tracks before screwing down. I had one track that needed to be aligned with different holes than the rest.

What did you sand the wood down too. Rubio Monocoat doesn’t recommend sanding past 120 grit because they say it won’t absorb the oil but I sand down to 240 and sometimes 320 and then apply it. They say the colors of the wood also will be subdued at higher sanding grits because of less absorption. What are your thoughts?
@diywithgreg3 жыл бұрын
Yes your pretty spot on. When im using Rubio im only sanding my wood to 180 grid, when you go higher the oil doesn’t penetrate the wood that well, but I discovered odies oil, odies oil you can sand to 400 grid, so im my shop im using both oils depending on the project im busy with.

Hey Greg, when sanding, do you put any kind of liquid solution between sanding? If so, what would you recommend on wood and on the epoxy? Also, can you use a belt sander on the first sanding? If so what grit do you use?
@diywithgreg2 жыл бұрын
We dont use any liquids when sanding. Just the sandpaper, and we used to start sanding with a belt sander but we found that its removing to much materials at once so we stopped with it.
