Thank you for being so patient and clear with your instructions. This procedure doesn't sound difficult but so many details to keep up with. You made me feel much more comfortable attempting this. Great video!

Back before the convenience of taking pictures with your cellphone I made a lot of diagrams on paper lol, nicely done Michael 😁👍

Great videos, I was looking for one that shows how to get the trim pump and reservoir out. I have a leak.

Hi Michael. My solenoids are good the actual pump it self stopped working. Is there anyway to rebuild the pump?
@robeggett9946Ай бұрын
Excellent job describing things and showing how it all works. My boat drive is stuck in the up position and will not tilt/trim down. When I push the up and down buttons on the throttle arm, I can hear the sound and it sounds exactly like it does when it is actually moving/working properly, however, there is no movement of the outdrive. It is not going up or down, yet it sounds like it always does when working right. Does that mean my solenoids are good and I have some other issue? Any ideas? Thank you in advance!

@@robeggett9946 Thanks for watching, any update? It may be that there is air in the lines or a Trim switch on outdrive has malfunctioned. We would focus first on the solenoid and replace both. Keep us posted.

Must be nice having such open access to everything. I have a Bayliner 175 and it’s ridiculous trying to get to anything.

@@seeya4046 Thanks for watching. The Bayliner 175 is a bit more tedious and less room design for sure. Let us know if you have any questions.

Do you know where the 2nd red fuse lead wire is connected to - the one you didn't remove? I have not only a blown fuse, but a totally mangled fuse holder and was thinking of rewiring it into its original location rather than splice the wires and installing a new fuse holder. My access is pretty tight though so the splicing isn't the worst option.

@@DIYwithMichaelBorders Not yet, haven't had a chance to get back to my boat yet. I have an extremely tight fit with difficult visibility where its located on my Amberjack. Looking at this video, it seems to just be connected to one of the posts on the back side of the top solenoid. kzbin.info/www/bejne/b4vRY5WQZrKogJo

@@brian48026 Thanks for the reply. In our case, the red wire has a bluish purple stripe and feeds out of the fuse casing and travels behind the upper Trim Solenoid and into the larger rubber housing.

What size is the fuse in that rubber boot
@DIYwithMichaelBorders2 ай бұрын
@@jmed4915 Thanks for watching. It’s either a 20amp or 25amp depending on the hydraulic pump and motor assembly model. Our fuse is a 25amp. If interested in purchasing this product, visit our Amazon affiliate link below. I earn from qualifying purchases. OEM Fuse: amzn.to/4fKMifv 😎👍🧰
