Hey Oggy - So good to hear from you. Hope you are well?

That looks like heaven. I now understand why you don’t mind doing the journey. Amazing that the fish feed in such clear water and bright light too.

Its a lovely place to catch fish. And if there are no fish biting (which seems to be rare), its a lovely place just to be. You will have to join me next time

Fancy making this trip again any time soon? Recently fished off the rocks for wrasse with a local it was great fun. Really keen to get the kayak out from that side of the bay, only gone out from Beesands to limited success.

Hi @lurekayaklrf - it’s a super stretch of coast, but conditions have to be calm, which doesn’t happen too often in the uk plus I live a long way away so don’t fish there as often as I would like

Nice Ian , we was doing the same just along the coast last weekend. Wrasse on lures new addiction and great sport

It was great weather wasn't it? Can't beat wrasse on lures, especially when you get some right smashers!!

dizzyfishuk it was a sneaky fish before a long drive home. But I will be back . I want to catch a big bright green one 😁. I did have my second ever cuckoo though and you are right there’s nothing quite like kayak fishing 🎣

Nice video. I like Salcombe. Few years ago I was fishing there for place in the winter. All other areas was too sturmy .I launched from one of the creeks .There were too many crabs there. No chance to catch a flatfish that day but I had approx 25 herrings on gold micro feathers with fish skin.
@dizzyfish3 жыл бұрын
I would be happy with the herrings… was that very far up the estuary?

i have recently discovered your channel which is really interesting as i am thinking of buying my first kayak; probably a Hobie. Do you need a trailer for it, or a roof rack? thanks and great videos. keep them coming.
@dizzyfish4 жыл бұрын
Hi Mathew - most kayak anglers transport their kayaks on top of the car using padded roof bars and tie down straps.

Great video 👍🏻 which beach did you launch from?
@dizzyfish4 жыл бұрын
Hi John - I launched from north sands
@johnprice95764 жыл бұрын
dizzyfishuk thanks for the reply I’m down in Salcombe on holiday this week with family we’ve brought our Hobies hoping to do some fishing, what state of tide did you fish? We are thinking of going tomorrow as the wind Is dying down to around 10mph would you say it’s safe enough out of north sands in that kind of wind? Any advice would be much appreciated. Cheers 👍🏻
@dizzyfish4 жыл бұрын
John Price its always difficult to predict... I’m sure you will launch ok, as it’s quite sheltered. If the coast is choppy, then just go up the estuary, as there are lots of sheltered spots up there... good luck

dizzyfishuk that’s what we were thinking, we will give it a go tomorrow thanks again for the help 👍🏻
