Yeah, but interestingly enough, they used the original 1986 recording of the song for that scene. The duo had released a re-recording of the song as a single in 1988 to capitalize on their crossover successes of “Parents Just Don’t Understand” and “A Nightmare On My Street,” which this music video was made to promote.

I remember a few years ago (maybe 8-9 years ago), I knew Will Smith had done FPOBA's theme song, and Men In Black, but that's it and one day I wondered if he had done more music, since I really liked those two. So I found out about the many albums and decided to listen to it, starting from the very first song from the very first album. So Girls Ain't Nothing But Trouble. Man I remember the feeling I got when I listened to it the first time. I wish deeply I could feel it again because it was amazing: I feel in love with the song and couldn't believe how good it was, how I loved the instrumental, how the song was just the best. I probably listened to it 20-25 times a day for a few days Since, I've been a JJFP/Will Smith fan. Girls Ain't Nothing But Trouble is still one of my favorite JJFP songs, with Nightmare On My Street (man I wish there was a video for this one), Time To Chill, I'm All That, I'm Looking For The One or Twinkle Twinkle. So thank you Jeff, thank you Will, for bringing us all that amazing music, starting with this very song, Girls Ain't Nothing But Trouble.
