His pitch control technique is quite interesting. Moves it quickly then back again. I very rarely do that but he appears to do that as his main approach to beat matching.

No phones and no readouts and hes nudging the bpm the hard way! That takes practice.

your a genius I have learned alot from you I have only been mixing for about 2 weeks but I catch on pretty quick lol its still going to be along road I find its harder to scratch and mix than when I learned how to play the guitar

Hey brosef, where would I find the song shock absorber? I found the original but the remix you used I can't find online :-(

I love this guy, before I even got into DJing this guy was so entertaining, now he's like a wise no bullshit guru lol This past week I started making new tracks that I wasn't too sure where they were going, mostly because I was lost and I forgot my own style. After 6 years, somehow, I got lost in new ideas and sounds. But yesterday it clicked back into order, and I remembered " Oh yeah. Im original, I just need to put a twist to it with my new influences"he just consolidated that into my brain

guys I didn't mean a 1 piece lol I meant something like CD DJ IN A BOX with the numark NDX200. I know its not the best, but I want something to play around and get used to it. Perhaps if I get better I would upgrade to a system like a pioneer or something :)
@JasonJebezSam14 жыл бұрын
you are epic man... i really wanna mix but i just havent got the money to get equipment. what would you suggest as a pretty good inexpensive setup for a beginner? or even some advise on things i could do to prepare myself before worrying about the gear?

@Akillesefourtwenty yes its a great app, but do you think your ready if someone gives you a chance to mess about with a real CDJ / mixer? theres a big difference between software and the real thing.

Yea, I guess the secret is to make something come out sounding unique which works... Almost so the folks go home wondering just what that was - I used to be like that all the time trying to find a particular mix some DJ had played, but of course it was of his OWN making, drives us (now X) clubbers mad as some moments were pure MAGIC & you wanted to listen to them in the car/home :( Part of what kept me going back... :) SO MISS it :) Great work, sounds like Bristol to me. Thanx for sharing

I've been through ups and downs, mostly all I have right now is what I'm making on my soundcloud. And I've been doing this since I was 16. I'm 26 now, so yes, I've been going on with music since I was a kid. I've been trying to go pro, and right now my main hinder is the lack of a set of turntables since the ones I had were lost by a shitty roomate after I moved to Oregon about 7 months ago. You want to hear stuff? Look for exKyre on Soundcloud.

hi guys, some weeks ago i uploaded a track witch i made with FL studio (i produce music for +- 1 year now) i putted a lots of hours of work in it, but now 3 weeks later it has 50 views..... i know i hate these comments too but it is the only way to get seen on youtube. It would be really great if you guys could check it out! and tell me what you think i would really like to hear what could be done better, Thanks a lot!

@teknastyk13 жыл бұрын
ur pitch bending technique tells me you've got a loooot of miles behind the decks... How come U do only tutorials for beginners and not playing arround internationally.. ...Just a quick tought of mine :)) Many djs out there getting payed a whole lot of money to show basically nothing technical
@Olgierddd14 жыл бұрын
@3S0JJD YEAH!!!! This is very important issue! How do you care about the harmony? I mean, U choosing particular part of chewns? (this is the easiest one way) without to much harmonic sounds, only drums, or using eq, rotarry/switch kills, or any other ways? JUST MAKE MOVIE ABOUT!!!!
@GU-RP13 жыл бұрын
and then, you play the second track. And you wait till the end of the second track and then you mix the beginning of the third track in with the second track. *YAWN* howiejjmnfhngg. In other words, you just do the se. root kfff! FORGET IT! be random.

great video talking about random mixing, but can I ask what the CD is that's covering the right deck. Image looks like a road sign for crossing the road in France. Sorry this is off topic and completely random in itself.

dude i am just so amazed how tuned your ear is to the beats its going to take me ages to get that good to beat match always watching your vids much respect you need an mbe or something for your contributions to the dj world

playing randomly is the best. i tend do do better when i havnt heard the whole tune and even when i dont monitor the tune in cue. its really fun and sometimes its better than thinkin too much about the next tune.
