For you I can think it of this way, like, as it may not be for everyone some people can get ear fatigue from listening to certain frequencies of sound, for eg, some individuals cannot listen to trebly headphones for long. As with metal, unlike EDM, its a very much mids and treble focused soundscape. If it's about the composition or the gloomy/morbid themes, try starting from something "less heavier" like pop punk or alt or grunge, or maybe even ambient post rock or post hardcore. Theres another allout "happy sounding" major key based sub genre called "easycore" I kid you not!!

This song is extremely spiritual. The guy holding up a sign on his palm proves it. The sound of "OM". This song reminds me of the feeling before death (even though i've never been near death), where the only things on your mind are what truly matters. The people that did you wrong, the people with attitudes, the people who seem to hate you, they all don't matter. The only thing that matters is the love you give to people. If someone acts like a piece of shit towards you, look the other way and put the focus elsewhere. What you focus on makes it longer than it is. Remove that focus and that act of hatred will return to nothing.
