I'm in the Army and can't find very much time to practice DJing as much as I'd like with all the training I do. But I found your channel and am building nice fundamentals and skills! Your channel is awesome and very helpful to someone who can't practice as much as they'd like!

Greetings from Lancaster, CA. Grabe Carlo! Ngimay ang braso ko. Pawisan nung natapos ako, lmao! But this is a good thing to practice or sure. It also got me to get into controlling the jogwheel and mitigate the slipping of my fingers from the jogwheel. Maraming salamat, guru!

I just downloaded the speed booster track. I did the entire 11 minutes using just the baby scratch and release. My right wrist is on fire now lol! Wow!!! What a workout that was!!! Thanks Carlos!

Great video! It's truly all about really taking the time and discipline and making the scratches part of the rhythm. It takes so much practice and trial & error to get something that is flawless. Look at all of the 90's hip hop pioneers that created the masterpiece jams that we all look up to!

in my opinion learning and getting better at the art of scratch takes time. it took me a good few years to build that muscle memory to become a good scratch dj. alot of people tend to look for a fast solution when it comes to scratching. over all everyone learns at thier own pace just like everything else in life. i noticed as i have aged with the art of scratch it has become a tool of meditation and relaxtion for me. but anyways thank you for your videos and passing down your wisdom to all.😎

Hi Carlo. I have a question for you. When I loaded the Speed Booster track to deck 1 of Virtual DJ software, the Hot Cues were also loaded. Why were the hot cues of this track saved? I use VDJ and how can I save the hot cues of tracks so I can use them in a CDJ?

I'm practicing with these tracks but I'm not sure what I'm looking/listening for while doing it to know if I'm doing it right. Please keep in mind I have no rhythm. It did kind of sound harmonic for some of it. Does that mean I'm doing it correctly?
@djcarlo3 жыл бұрын
As long as you get your beat matching down, and the mix sounds smooth, then yes! Get someone to give you feedback too; friends, family, etc so they can tell you if it sounds good.

Dope brother that is exactly what I do. There is an app which has the same concept of the track Wichita increase on tempo but I can't remember the name. I would have to do some research and I'll drop a link when I find it.

When I do the baby scratch the backward movement takes me a little bit far from the start point of the scratch, so the location of the scratch moves ahead in the platter which makes it off-beat. Do you have any tips to hold onto the start tip of the scratch without going any backwards?

Thanks for putting me on to that track. My homework this weekend was to practice my baby scratching and one dropping, so this should be a great tool to help me with that. By the way, have you ever used the RR with turntables and DVS, if so, can you tell me what settings you used in the "audio" section of Rekordbox?
@djadjacent18576 жыл бұрын
Actually, at this point, I have three DVS licenses because I bought one when I got my turntables, I got one with my 250mk2 and one with my XP1. In any event, I can use my turntables with my mixer and XP1, but I have yet to make it work with my RR. I have a video of my issue on my page...for now, it's my only video.
