A lot of people don't know how much goes into edits, specially Acap In & Acap Out. Great video here Trayze, Beat Refinery & DJ City.

TRAYZE!!! Wicked Tutorial as per usual!! Any library tutorials coming up tho?? I feel like it's one of the biggest topics that not many people touch on..
@djtrayze8 жыл бұрын
yeah we can do one soon. gotta put together some different viewpoints and opinions, though I think mojaxx already did one for DJcity on this channel!

Great Video Trayze! The only suggestion I would add is to make sure to turn down the channel volumes on each track (if necessary) until the master volume is consistently showing in the green. I've noticed that when I warp a song in complex or complex pro, Ableton tends to boost the track volume into the red, which results in a clipped master track when exporting my finished edit.

hey dude!! how are you?!!? HA! man honestly, Ive found that a 0db channel level without any layering results in a perfect file export, unless youre adding a bunch of audio effects on the same channel or the master. every audio effect will give you a about a 1db bump each. the master red youre seeing is inconsequential really, when you listen /compare the final output file to the original source file, you shouldnt see or hear any difference, or any clipping. this has been my experience at least. I also try to avoid using limiters whenever possible. now this would be a totally different thing if I was mixing down an edit or project with multiple layers, etc.

Is there a way to actually make accapellas from a song?
@djtrayze8 жыл бұрын
yes but you have to use audio effect software, phasing, and usually it helps to have studio versions of both the main and instrumental versions.
