thank you! nice video! I'm beginner DJ and I'm using normal hashtags like #banger #70s #wedding #ambient #acapella #woman #saxophone etc. why do you use "comment2" instead of normal comments?

I use a similar system, but am envious of Rekordbox’s MyTag system which makes this type of workflow way easier to both sort and find tracks. It has much more capability with Intelligent playlists than Traktor’s smart playlists too. This is my biggest gripe with Traktor.

How to do complex searches? I want to find all songs that contain either "Disco" or "Funk" and they also have to contain "70s" or "80s". This would give me Disco and Funk songs from the 70s and 80s.

Your system is very interested! He asks me if you have to insert the tags one by one or if there is a system to insert them in a group. For example, there is a ctrl+a and then add the tag to all tracks selected in one time ...

@@CasadiCeKOYou can edit the tags for multiple tracks at the same time (selecting many tracks and then hitting “edit tags” - in Traktor this will change the edited fields on all the selected tracks). The only drawback of this approach is you can’t “add” a tag this way, it requires you to change all the tags of the selected tracks to the same value. So it’s helpful for doing some tagging in a coarse way. I was thinking of writing a program that would allow editing in the way you describe; I’ll post a video on it if I develop the software

OT: For everyone, the problem is always to choose (and find quickly) the next track right? It is for this reason we seek and catalog eg. For tags with your interested system .... I find it useful - to make harmonic mixing - as well as search for tags, also search for key and bpm .... By by and thanks for the reply! I follow you!

Hello - I hope you can help me. I am editing my track collection (4000 songs) many are duplicates. While previewing tracks, I set cue points, loops and delete duplicates tracks from my “Track collection” . Only to return the next day to show no work. Traktor doesn’t appear to save my edits. Please help. I am wasting my time and becoming very frustrated.

I would advise against using that column to tag. It's only visible in traktor. If for whatever reason you lose the .nml file or your computer breaks and you don't have a copy of that file. Then all those tags are lost. Insert the tag in the comment field in the mp3 or any other file. Much more secure and the tags is always linked to the actual audio file. No matter the software you use.

I use the comment field for other data, which is why I recommend using an additional field for these kinds of multi-tags. You can tell Traktor to write its fields (including comment 2) to the files so they aren’t only tied to the NML. While most programs cannot read Traktor’s comment2, some can like Rekordcloud (which can also copy it to other fields like VDJ grouping)
