Warning: Do not leave these smart batteries in the drone. Smart batteries slowly trickle discharge to preserve the battery. This is why when you charge a few days prior you will notice that it's at 98 percent not 100%. By leaving them in the drone, it turns off the discharge rate which causes swelling and serious damages to the internal BMS (Battery Management System)

Except for the pre-foam cutout (which I agree has a value in itself), you can get a lockable hard case from Harbor Freight for about $30 US, on sale. It's what I carry my Autel Evo II Pro in.

I really like the stock case (similar to mini 2). I like how it opens towards you and I can carry 3 batteries and my Osmo. I like being able to keep the case on my person when flying as well but that's just me

The mini 2 is so small that there are no backpacks made especially for it. Your best bet is to go on amazon and look at camera backpacks and find one you like.

Hi Steve, you may remember me. I am trying to decide what drone suits my needs. A Mavic air 2 or the Air 2s. I primarily do video shooting and it is mostly of water sports. The resolution would be nice so that I am able to digitally zoom in but most of the videoing I do is televised which is at 1080p 50i anyway. Do you have any recommendations plus if I should bother with DJI CARE? PS. I heard drone restrictions got really tough in Canada. Here in NZ they are already pretty tight but we make do. Cheers

Yes, if the drone you use brings you money then get the insurance. The AIR 2S is better in situations where you can't get as close to the subject. You can either film in 5K then crop in during post production or film in a lower resolution and use the digital zoom. Just make sure if you film in 5K you have a computer that has a good graphics card.

That hard case looks like a really nice case. Another case to consider is the Nanuk 915. Their cases are also very good. They're made in Canada for those of us who would rather support North America. So after flying around and using up a full battery, my second battery I attempted to try mastershots and was met with an error which left me unable to try it.... The error read somthing along the lines of 'flight route will reach maximum height limit, either lower the drones altitude or change the settings' Now no matter what I did, it simply did not change anything....I tried having the drone as low as I could, I change the mastershot settings to height as small, my max altitude within the settings was at 400ft, I even tried setting the max altitude at the max I could do, yet still I got the same error. I know this thing is new but does any one have any ideas?
