@@amoktimeflies having recently been out to Stonehenge (Winter) , I found the 50M AGL shots the most interesting. 5M doesn't revel much. Your time of day for a location like that will be key to show off the contours of the land. In so doing, you can use that footage for educational purposes. I'd be interested in airspace(As) restrictions you have to work with and strategies to still get good video when only allowed to fly over adjacent open AS. As a newer drone pilot, I have also wondered if Park Agencies would allow use of their air space for 100% access to the video I took of their AS. I would not assume every agent would already have everything they want or need. Maybe quid pro quo?

@drogers5511 as long as you are taking off from public land, they have no rights to prevent you from filming. The CAA has sole authority over the airspace. For example, the National Trust have banned takeoff and landing on their land, but legally they have no dominion of the sky. The no fly zone bisecting the stones is a military imposed no fly zone and nothing to do with English Heritage. You can apply for authorisation to fly, but knowing the military as I do you’re unlikely to get an answer the same day (or even month! 😂) even if they do grant you permission. 🖖
