DJI Avata 2 - Fast Cinematic Cruising

Manual mode used on the DJI RC3.
All clips are shots in 2.7k60 4:3 Wide FOV with an ND16 and 1/120s shutter, D-Log M color 0 sharp and -2 n.r., corrected with the DJI D-Log M LUT, exposure adjustments.

mate yes watch mads vid plus with the controller in manual you won’t even need the drone tweaks app to do 100kph plus, but if you get the tweak you can get full range too :)

It IS! It's a lot of fun to fly that way, it's how I feel most comfortable out here. Around my house I actually will use the motion controller, it's a relaxing change of pace.

DJI should make a 9" long-range fpv drone. Mavic 3 already 9" so they drone big drones. Just need beefier motors and triblades and please carbon fiber

I had already put together a lot of content on this drone to be ready for the release. And yeah, its pretty cool NGL (I miss it :D). Also, DJI contacted me, I'll be getting it back soon!

I've gone about 2km and that's as far as I needed to go. I've not push more than that but it seems comparable to my traditional o3 drones with a longer antenna mast and those get 6km pretty easily. DJI states 10km but idk if it's gonna do 20km on the battery 😁

It's unique. Super easy to grab and go, small package and I can charge up with the usbc charger on my dash or any of the many I have in my house. It flies with a more relaxed attitude compared to a finely tuned betaflight quad, but it holds its line and it gets the shot. The footage is AMAZING and the color is perfect just as it is in Normal color mode. I've some friends try it and they all liked it (they used the motion controller) so it can be put in normal or even beginner mode to let literally anyone try to fly fpv. I like it.

How long of flight time do you get when pushing upwards of 50mph?

This flight was 9 minutes (I just checked) but idk how much battery was left. I would say ripping around like this would be 12 minutes tops. When I get it back I can test the max runtime, try and find the most efficient speed that it cruises at etc

No, I used Gyroflow. In the first video this Avata 2 series I list my settings used. Around 0.150 smoothness and between 50 and 100 percent lens correction.

Why 2.7k? Why not 4k?

I want the full 4:3 sensor so I can apply lens correction and I use wide fov so gyro metadata is recorded and then I process with Gyroflow to 4k. This totally is not necessary for the average person, most people will probably just want to use 4K and rocksteady inbuilt. Btw, you are the first person to ask this !

@@DiraPictures tbh I just used my old workflow from the o3. I didn't realized they upped that spec! When I get it back from repair I'll try that mode. Right now my files are 110mbps but it looks like 4k60 4:3 should be around 150mbps. Yeah the last gen o3 stuff we were using could only do 4:3 in the lower res.
