No, with FPV drones you get 3-8 minutes battery life. And it doesn't fly 18 minutes. And yes, the gimbal DOES move up and down, not the drone. The other points are valid:)

3-8 minutes is the usual battery life for FPV drones? That's pretty crazy lol yeah this Avata gets around 18 minutes 🤯 & I'm still working on figuring out why my tilt button wasn't moving the camera lol

10 minutes in the goggles will feel like plenty compared to a longer time on your phone with traditional gps drones. Plus FPV footage is usually shorter clips (few minute one takes, or various short footage mixed in with footage from other gps drones). The flight time on the avata is actually quite good compared to the competition. I've seen other reviews getting about 12-15 minutes of flight time in normal/sport mode.

On the goggles? No I just forgot to flip them up 😅 I hardly ever do on my phantom either and the reception is still good. I should definitely start putting them in the correct position though 🙈

It's... An expensive toy 😅 but if it's something that intrigues you and you know you'll get your money's worth out of it, then absolutely. It's not their first FPV drone so they've been working out kinks & improving it for a while now. It's pretty insane what can be done with them
