Thanks! Great advice. Watched a ton of videos before flying but NOBODY advocates using the prop guards. I bumped my drone against a park light pole and it crashed. Luckily no damage. Now I'm playing it safe and staying closer to the ground. I do photography and Now I understand the real advantage of drone photography is close rolling footage over obstacles. Awesome. Also, nobody mentions how the controls flip direction when the drone is pointing at you. Very good point.

Dude, your tip about lining the camera to zero on the line is very useful. Today I was trying to use the crosshairs (something I also learned from you!) to fly between two trees, but the crosshairs were different than my own line of sight. But I bet it was because my camera was not lined up correctly. Can’t wait to practice it some more tomorrow. I’m going to order the grids as well. Will definitely use your affiliate links. @@xavier_arthur man I really enjoy your content bro, very interesting and you get it across really well also. Yes it's so true, my SAB Goblin 700 is still way easier than my XK K110 and easier than my XK K120 also. I've found with the few years that I've been flying 3D helicopters that the small ones are the most difficult to fly, all twitchy and the smallest movement of the heli has to be corrected and when the heli it tiny in size there are many many such corrections that have to be made per second - and all this just to try hovering in one spot! Also repairs and maintenance, tuning, tweaking, upgrading & mods are very much a big pain until you figure out how it all really works. This is why I'm so happy with my Mavic Mini now! This Mini just flies itself, I mean it really does fly all by ITSELF! Hands off the control and it just waits for you there! Lettin go of the sticks of a 3D heli and it just crashes immediately, lol.. Cool man, can't wait for your next video, probably gonna be some interesting stuff... 🙂

I just got a mini and on day one I thought I could fly between the iron bars of a gate, I took it slow and when it was under the gate bar the drone went wild and tried to go up so assuming the sensors below forced it to raise up. Luckily the bar was right in the middle of the drone so I had to grab it and pull it free. I didnt use guards lol. Going to do so in future.

Great advice! I have one thing, I never heard anyone mentioning: with the prop guards you will get alerts max distance reached or max altitude reached after a certain distance! I can not recall the exact figures I think it’s somewhere around 100-150m and height maybe 30. I called DJI about it and been told this is by design. I wonder if it still will do it with 3rd party prop guards?

Good video tutorial :) I'm trying tight flying with the Spark, using RE goggles, and I like the X idea on camera view . . . I've been trying the gridlines with multiple vert and hori lines (muddle option on Fly menu), the centre window is free of obstacles when placed in the clear zone, and gimbal is dead straight. The Spark is a great tight space drone, it is smaller then the unfolded Mini.

Hello Xavier I am new with drone flying less than two hours. My question is can you fly the Mavic mini without GPS tracking? Can you turn off the GPS so you don't get help to pilot the mini. You are very informative and the explanations are clear, Thank you From Montreal Canada
@xavier_arthur4 жыл бұрын
No you can't turn off GPS as a feature! However if you are indoors, the GPS module in the drone cannot communicate with satellites & the drone will go into Atti mode, In this mode the downward facing sensors located at the bottom of the drone will be used to keep the drone in place. If you cover up the bottom sensors, and flying doors, that's about the most control you can get over the drone. Well that sticker looks like Carbine Fiber But said Made out of PVC, Now I got toget Props MY Right Antenna keeps coming lose in body of the Mini Do I Try To Make it look cooler With CarbonProps there the only ones that don't seem to be crap on Ebay! Man just say get Carbine, or some Yelow and white or whatever Help me out Look at it got blue eye with Fake Carbine Fiber I got a 5sec clip let me Know!!!
