If it's just a pwm signal you can use a low pass filter to leave it with analog I think there are several libraries that do this

It is possible to replicate the remote control signal through 2 smartphones in such a way that 1 is connected to the drone and the other remains close to the remote control as if it were a call and in theory it should extend the range of the drone to infinity as long as there is the 4G signal of phones?

Hey Zolly, always great hacks. Perhaps you can also deal with the MA 2 battery self-discharge problem. Many MA2 owners complain about this. The battery simply discharges too quickly. There is definitely a way you can point out how to slow it down or stop it. Keep it up, the videos and explanations are great! Greetings from Germany
@ZollyD
@ZollyD 3 жыл бұрын
Thanks! :) I would need a battery to say for sure, but these self discharge things (If you mean that the battery after a while on purpose discharges itself for safety reasons) all work the same way. Ususally a MOSFET turns on and start to discharge the cell via a resistor. Solution 1: delay the MOSFET to open with a pre defined time. (few ours, days) Solution 2: Change the resistor to a bigger value so it discharges slower. Solution 3: Combination of the 2 above Solution 4: The voltage to which the cells are discaharged can also be adjusted. So it does not discharge to 3.7V but only to 3.95v I would probably prefer the last one as it is an important safety feature to not have LiPos fully charged. :)

I wish DJI would open source their software; there are so many basic things I wished my drone could do. I still cannot get my drone to fly a route (flight path) autonomously. Why can't I fly a route manually, save it with camera settings and have the drone repeat that route with camera settings autonomously?

@@ZollyD That would be great ! For this to work well, you need a feeback between the GPS position and the commands, and you need to have this GPS position with a sufficient frequency. The drone does this, but I think it does it locally, so the GPS position may not be transmitted that often. I'm not anyway an expert, but I think that listening to usb traffic is not a problem, using a probe, but reverse engineering a protocol, that can be difficult, and long Happy hacking !!!

@@ZollyD well to do all this means that you have a wealth of knowledge... however at this point its kind of redundant because you can input commands onto the dji app making the drone autonomous. So more or less your just inputing the same commands from a pc to do the same thing from an external source. Great work but more practical if with all this one can just say launch and it automatically launches the drone etc etc...

Better use RosettaDrone so you also have video and the ability to use OpenCV, without the need to modify the RC. I'm currently implementing Mini SE support. I would like to see a mod adding the RC board + an Android board to a DJI Mini running RosettaDrone with a LTE/4G/5G connection. The android board will need to support AOA. I can provide you all the software.

I have an idea : Made some kind of a sensor kit to add obstacle avoidance to it. MCU+Time of flight sensors+long range nrf24l01 to get some feedback what's around it. system can overide given command by looking at sensor feesback. (i add this is because it will be fun. i know some letancy is going to involve and many other problems. this is just an idea) PS : After i watched this video then i directly head to his channel and i saw obstacle avoidance idea.. niceee

I think when you start going this route just get a Pixhawk. It does everything you want to do.
@ZollyD

Yes that is very correct! 🙂 I am quite interested in those! This way of doing it would also work on an RC car, or anything really with a joystick controller. 🙂

@@ZollyD I wonder if you can combine what you are doing with pixhawk. The pixhawk can control servos and it had gps auto pilot. Maybe create a hybrid monster. Probably best if you just let the pixhawk take over the motors I guess but who wants best. It is all about fun

Voice controlled movement possible? I think so. Give it a try. It would be even more easy and awesome to fly. 6 movement like forward, backward, strafe left, strafe right, spin clockwise and spin counter clockwise. Now a 6 year child can fly drone with ease
@ZollyD
@ZollyD 3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, but for us to react in words, is much slower than with joysticks. Maybe for fun we can try it :) Joysticks are also not disturbed by external noise...
