Just got mine a few days ago. Never flew a drone before, but this was pretty easy after reading the directions and watching a couple KZbin videos. Started out low and slow. Very fun and easy to use. Video footage is incredible. I've got the drone flying bug now!

I haven't got my mini 2 se drone yet, but I'm in play store wondering which app to use, so confused, couple day dji on them, and in the reviews they are saying don't work, what should i do, could wait till i get it then see the actual picture of the app i guess, just wanted to get ready if I could. thank you for your help

Hello, I have inquiry if a dji mini 2 se battery works with dji mini 2 drone? Ive seen videos that mini 1 can work to mini 2. the mini 2 se has 2250mah and the mini 2 has 2400 mah capacity. Additionally the charging hub works for mini 1, mini 2, and mini 2 se. Please if anyone can answer I would gladly appreciate it. Thanks in Advance

Do you think companies like amazon will ever be delivering packages by drone . Will the drone wizards build them with all the bells and whistles so that it might happen in the future . I just can't picture it in my mind yet .

I've said for some time that drone delivery by Amazon (or anyone) will never happen for most of the country for a lot of different reasons. I'm sure in some areas with a lot of wide open space it might happen to an extent but trying to land a drone on someones lawn with telephone wires, trees, kids and dogs around is nearly impossible. And the alternative of dropping a package from 30' in the air doesn't sound like a great idea either. Call me skeptical but I don't think we'll ever see widespread use of the tech for delivery.

Hi Rick. Long time we haven't shout each other ! Rick , my Mini-2 had a Crash and it is not working anymore but despite the cost of the Mini-SE or the Mini-2 SE , I just can't bring myself to getting one after experiencing my Mini-2 ! Nice and Informative as usual Rick , take care .

Great video. Thanks for giving me a huge case of the "wants" ;^D I got one of the mini's when they first came out. My brother has a place in northern Michigan which has plenty of room to fly. I learned a whole lot about that drone while learning to fly there. Maybe one day, even the dude on the far left of your mantle (Alfred E. Neuman) can fly it! I've not seen anything related to MAD Magazine in years. Awesome!

Sir this Drine has NO Lithium battery as you mentioned in the video, it are LIPO batteries... Nice video btw

Thanks for the post but I can assure you the Mini 2 SE uses Lithium Ion batteries not Lipo. If you check the specs page on DJI you see it called out. The only confusion might be in your location. At times DJI will release different versions of the quad depending on local laws. In the U.S. it’s Li-Ion.

John, the DJI Fly app works fine with most Android phones but you'll have to download it from the DJI site. The reason it's not in the App store is because of the complicated certification process required for the various Android versions on the market. You can easily download and install the .apk file from the DJI website and it will work great. I hope that helps and be sure to sub the channel so you don't miss any new content I'll be posting. From the videos I have seen, I prefer the Mini 2 series, the phone goes above the joysticks. Then your hand is not in the way of viewing the screen

Thanks for the post and that controller is called the RC-N1 and is available for the Mini 2 - Mini 4 Pro. DJI gives you a choice between that one and the integrated DJI RC controller so you choose the one you like best. The integrated controller is easier since you don't have to load any application on your phone or worry about charging two devices. Stay tuned for more content this week. Rick

Well I still do unboxing clips to show viewers what to expect with the product and watch a lot of them myself to make sure everything I need is included. I also spent a lot of time explaining where the new Mini 2 SE fits in the DJI Mini series so viewers understand the benefits it provides. The difference I try to bring to my clips is taking the time to give you all the details you need. Other channels that pump out 4 minute videos with a ton of snazzy music and jump cuts are not really providing much value.

Yep, it's the latest release from DJI and fits into their lineup right between the Mini 2 and the Mini SE. It's a nice blending of the 2 and provides a lot of value for the price.

The FAA regulations require you to keep your drone in sight when flying. Even though the drones can fly farther than you can see them, you can't do this legally.

Freddy, I read all the manuals cover to cover and you have your specs mixed up. The Mini 2 has a 100Mbps bit rate for the video. The Mini 2 SE, which this clip was covering, has a lower bit rate of 40 Mbps and it's not an issue because it's not recording 4K. I hope that helps.

I disagree, a drone priced this low with all of the features provided. It's also the perfect drone for new fliers, and a great second drone for fliers with a larger one looking for a small drone for travel. Nothing on the market comes close to the value the Mini 2 SE provides for the price.

@@AlanHunt73 It really comes down to your budget and your flying needs. The only major difference between the new Mini 2 Se and the Mini 2 is the 4K recording on the Mini 2 Vs. 2.7K on the Mini 2 SE. The difference in price is over $130 so you have to decide if the higher resolution is worth the uplift in price. Other than that, they are basically the same product. Both O2 transmission, 31 minutes of flight, 1/2.3 sensor and same controller. For some people, the extra cost does not justify the better video. I like that DJI is providing choice.
