Subotica is a city and the administrative center of the North Bačka District in the autonomous province of Vojvodina, Serbia.
The city has the most buildings built in the Hungarian Secession style. The City Hall (built in 1908-1910) and the Synagogue (1902) are of especially outstanding beauty. These were built by the same architects: Marcell Komor and Dezső Jakab.
The Blue Fountain is one of the symbols of Subotica. What makes it special is that it is covered in Zsolnay ceramics.
The historic National Theatre in Subotica on Freedom square, which was built in 1854 as the first monumental public building in Subotica.
