Another very professional video. It was great to finally see support to use the goggles to fly the GPS drones. Too bad it doesn’t extend to the Air 2S drone, probably because of the different transmission systems. I did see some hacks for flying the drones using the RC1 and N1 controllers but it’s a bit wonky and maybe not completely reliable. Hope DJI extends official support for using these other controllers

It is possible to support the Air 2S because it uses the same O3 system as the Mini 3 Pro. It's just up to DJI to do this or leave it for a future Air 3.

I have it working with my DJI RC that shipped with the classic. Do all the connection steps, once you see video in your goggles, turn them off and take off like you would normally, then turn goggles on. You will get an error in the lower right corner, but has no effect on flight.

Guess they thought no one would find out the work around, just like the ID on avata, hook you phone up and just disconnect once in the air. Ya you get error message, but no effect on flight

Hi... Yes you can use the RC controller with the Mini 3 Pro and Goggles. Just get the Drone in the air with the goggles off using the controller, and then turn on the Goggles. Now you will have the feed in the goggles and you can use the RC controllers

Wow, didn’t know that, when I heard you could not us RC controller I was looking at moving away from DJI, they tried to force you to by motion controller, by not offering the controller 2 as part of a package to buy with avata and now saying you can’t use RC controller, which we paid good money for, with the mini 3. Three weeks after getting the Goggles 2 and motion controller.... After a couple of days familiarizing with it, I now feel less confident using the regular controller. There is a beauty with the motion controller ability to just point to that dot and press the throttle, and the drone will fly directly to that location. I have used these drones for a couple of years with the regular controller and I have never felt confident enough to do the maneuvers I started doing after just 3 days of using the motion controller. So I'm planning to ditch the old controller and use motion exclusively. There are a few cinematic moves that are not as easy to get with the MC, like flying towards/backward to/from a subject on the ground at a fixed altitude and keeping the focus on it. That required in the old controller a gimbal adjust only. With the MC you have to use the joystick and throttle simultaneously to keep the same altitude as you move forward/backwards. Conversely, enabling head tracking can allow you to do this much easier, and I'll use that instead if I'm up there where I'm not worried to hit anything. Also, panning and other moves need to be done carefully with the MC so they are as smooth as with the old controller. I think the MC could benefit from a Cinematic mode where all MC movements are smoothed, and shaking is prevented. Hope they add that.

Thank you. Personally I haven't tried wearing either with glasses. With the Goggles 2 you have diopter adjustment that allows you to focus the screen for your eyesight. The Goggles Integra comes with different levels of glass you can swap out to again focus it for your eyes. I am pretty shortsighted but can get both to have a clear screen with my glasses off. Hope that helps!

This completes pretty much what I like to do with a drone: cinematic footage in a sub 249g drone that I can take when I travel and fly legally in many places, and also a safe FPV drone with long flight time and obstacle avoidance that I can use just for the fun of flying. It might not be as fast as the Avata, but is way quieter and less problematic to fly. i don't need the stress of a fast FPV drone that attracts too much attention due to noise, is too heavy and it can crash easily. The Mini 3 pro has pretty much replaced all other drones I have or considered to buy. Even if I want to use only cinematic, the FPV functionality with goggles is important so I can make a first flight to familiarize with the subject and see the stuff I keep missing when I use the small screen of the controller in the sun.

Exactly also my point of view. I've had Phantom 4 pro, Mavic 2 Pro and FPV Drone but eventually sold them all. I could not be happier with my Mini 3 Pro and Goggles Integra. I'll keep my RC Controller but will probably use it a lot less.

Hope DJI has a firmware update that includes the standard RC controller to fly the Mini 3 Pro with the goggles. I don't like flying the Mini 3 Pro with the Motion Controller 2.

Thank you very much for your videos which in general are very helpful. I been fly my drones for some time now but still learning as new features come out. I have the Mini 3 Pro and a Mavic 3 which I've had for some time. I was very excited to see the new firmware upgrade to allow me to fly with the goggles. Anyway here's my thought; I have not seen KZbin videos concerning the upgrading firmware and linking the Mini 3 Pro, Goggles Integra, and the Motion 2 Controller. I'm sure this type video would be very helpful for me and a lot of others who are having a difficult time in connecting. I worked on my first Goggles and Motion Controller for a week or more (a lot of this time with DJI support????). and finally sent it back. Now I have purchased another one and after a day long exercise, I think I finally have it going. It is so cool and I love it so much. Would you be so kind to make this type of video which I feel would get a lot of hits on your channel. I searched KZbin and didn't find anything which would help me. Thanks for you help!

So wait, in FPV mode, when you see the camera banking like that, is that an artificial effect like when using FPV mode with the regular controller, or is the gimbal staying level with the drone and the banking in the video is merely a reflection of the drone's pitch left or right? In FPV mode the banking is a reflection of the drone pitching left or right I believe. Maneuverability is the same as with the standard controller - although with the goggles on it feels more.

@@TheDroneCreative well I suppose there's one way to do a basic test. Just get it all set up and ready to fly in FPV mode, but instead of taking off just pick it up and tilt it to the left and to the right and see if that horizontal axis of the gimbal stays relatively locked or if it stays level with the horizon. I don't want to fly with a completely simulated FPV perspective like with the normal controller and have these deep banking shots when the drone is actually relatively level, I only want to fly this way if it's actually a reflection of the drone's POV, or at least is MOSTLY a natural reflection of the true angle/pitch.

I was finally able to fly with integra. It was insane how hard it was to connect. Only to find out that you also have to unbind the RC in order to fly without issues with rhe integra goggles. Instructions are super hard to find. Hope someone makes a video of binding and unbinding process wheh using goggles with mini3 pro.
