Just to add my take on the moving home point thing, just set the drone to hover when the connection is lost. It will stay where it is and you will have the time (depending on the battery charge of course) to turn around, come closer and get the signal back. (Very handy when you are on a moving boat !!) Needless to say, the next time you’re flying from a single home point, turn the lost connection settings back to RTH !

I thought the mini pro has internal storage cause I’m getting ready to go to Puerto Rico and I wasn’t gonna get a SD card. I was just gonna use the internal storage???? should I get a SD card it’s for the mini four pro

Great advice. Last June in Norway I was flying from a small jetty around 11 pm over a very still lake. Bringing it into land I made the mistake of approaching too low; low enough to confuse the sensors and it went for a swim. 3 weeks later I get a call from the police to say the drone had been found and handed in. They inspected the footage and saw the motorhome regn number recognising it as one awaiting transportation to the UK. Yes , we’d broken down! The drone was put in the motorhome and when we were able to empty it some 4weeks later, the drone flew flawlessly. Add ed to that the battery took a full charge. Must be something in the water!!

2:46 - just to add: there are 3 ways to update the home point. 1: tap the arrow icon on top right of the screen the home point will be updated to where the drone is currently located 2: tap the controller icon beneath will update the home point to the controllers current location 3: drag the map around and the home point will be updated to the position shown by the "H" on the screen

Great tips, especially the one about accidentally turning the screen off on the RC2. I would have been in panic mode! Now, I have one for all you guys out there. Why remove the SD card from your drone when you can just plug the drone into your PC with a USB cable. It will show up as an additional drive. Transfer your data and your good to go. You never forget your SD card, less chance of static zapping the card since you are handling it a lot less. Just reformat when connected to the controller and you're all set. However, it is still a good idea to carry a spare SD card just in case of other issues. It's cheap insurance.

I lost my Air 2S on vacation last year. I didn’t thoroughly scout the area before flying and completely lost my Air 2S in a Georgia forested mountainside. Completely my fault. My advice is know where you are flying and anticipate the obstacles. Don’t make my mistake.

I didn't know about the power button turning off the rc2 screen. I'm surprised I haven't already accidentally turned off the screen and started panicking. Good tip!!

Forgetting the microSD card is what happened a couple of times. Followed by forgetting to charge the phone I use to control the drone.

On the first day I got the DJI Mini 4 Pro, I changed it to sports mode on the controller (as it was not auto landing due to obstacles and I didn't know what else to do). Then I forgot to switch it back to Normal mode and crashed it on the second flight 😂 Fortunately it survived. Overall your channel helped me get familiar with my drone even before I got it in my hands. So thanks for all the efforts.

The RC2 screen off option is actually quite useful for saving battery. Use case: you're doing a Hyperlapse or another flight that's done automatically and last for minutes that you don't have anything to do. You can turn off the screen and save battery on the controller.

Thanks for all your safety advice. I think one important piece of advice is that all drone pilots should use before each flight, and was taught when I was flying full size aircraft is to have a preflight check list in hand or on your mobile device, and run thru a good visual check of your drone, all transmitter settings Battery conditions. And most important, have an app on your phone to check for local air traffic. If you follow your check list you are assuring yourself a safe, and successful flight. One issue I've had with the home point, is I've taken off with my Neo or Mini 4 Pro without full satellite coverage. Then along the route once satellites were full, the home point set mid flight automatically. Usually not in a good place. I'd have to double back, and manually update the home point. I missed that mistake a few times, and almost landed in some bad situations.

This Pocket 3 is a great mobile camera with gimbal built in. When I start producing more on location videos, this could be my go-to video camera to add to my FF sensor photos for behind the scenes footage and a new YT channel. A lot easier and faster to setup video on the go in good light, and low light looked very impressive on Pocket 3 in that boat scene, compared to Action 4 video cam. Thanks for a great demo. Would be a wonderful vacation video cam as well. 1 inch sensor is much better than smaller 1/3 sensors.

Great video and thank you for sharing all the knowledge and tips. At 10 minutes in you talked about music, the first 10 minutes had a background loop that was distracting. I paused the video to reset, it was very subtle in the background. KZbinrs choice, just saying. My suggestion is use music as a tool and know where and when to apply it. Also keep it moving not to lose interest. It's subtle, but it's picked up. imo

I’ve also to Hawaii and when I was flying and getting the literal dream shot, it was recording in 1080 P so I had to go back the next day and record in 4K

My mistake that was totally embarrassing... was buying a air 3S at best buy over the phone and then when I went to pick it up I thought great this is going to be epic then I brought it home and I looked at the Box more closely and it didn't have the S on it it was only the air 3.. ughh... so then I went back to Best Buy and said this is the wrong one then they said they don't even have that one right now so I had to order it directly from the website but luckily I got everything taken care of... .. another issue is my Mini Pro 4 doesn't connect to my phone through the app it says device may be connected to another phone but there isn't any and when I call support they didn't really help at all so I took that one back and said it was defective so hopefully my air 3S when it arrives will be will be connecting to my phone..

lot of this seems like common sense, -> don't fly it near obstacles. but I did appreciate the differences mentioned between obstacle avoid with mini pro 3 and mini pro4, and none with sport mode. regarding 10:58 and it being far away, isn't there an orient command that will spin it facing away so when you pull the stick back it comes back? Or why not just using home key to bring it home if you can't see it? Don't people fly these out of view sometimes since they have the range?

Why didnt dji just engrave its LUT on DLOG M. I am sooo lazy adding it in post xD i want instant usable clips i can use dji mimo app immediately with DLOG M and Dji LUT
