Hi Mate , I seem to remember seeing somewhere that the Green LED lights on a Mini 4 Pro can be changed to stay on when taking a video but cant find anything about it and when flying on a night and you start to record a video the lights go off and you loose sight of the drone , any suggestions cheers Mike

I do have a question. I switched my camera to JPEG + Raw. I noticed that my raw photos are saved as DNG. Is that a RAW photo. It doesn't seem like it because the resolution is size is only 960 x 720, and JPG is 4032 x 3024. I swore you said the RAW image would be large in size (resolution). Did I do something wrong?

I have had Autels for several years and it was time for a change. I purchase the new Mini 4K BUT was not impressed with it, plus the USB-C cord didn't connect to my iso device properly. I'm a huge fan of using Cine/ Disabled Obstacle avoidance for responsive and safe hand catching. Some users suggest switching to sport mode briefly which does also work. But it's far less forgiving if you make a mistake. Or if you forget to put the settings back.

A TIP....yer on RTH I have mine set to 120m/400ft which is max ......as a 12 story block of flats/offices is about 120 meter....each story is 10 meter appox...and a 12 story or any size block of flats/offices has a extra floor for the attic room for lifts ect..so a 12 story block would be about 130 meter and the any antennas on top of roof could be upto 30 meters tall...so to work it out..tall buildings would be 10 meter times the amount of floors plus 1 floor for attic...and maybe 20 to 30 extra for any Antenna's or Aerial's...where as a small block of flats upto about 4 story is about 8 meter high times the amount of floors...plus roof height...but alway...always remember....Antennas and Areal's? they could be anywhere..on top of a hill ..to a factory roof top...around castles as i found out one day..near miss and nobody really talks about heights of building and Antennas...a radio tower can be 100 meters high or above...and sometimes hard to see until yer nearly on top of them...and the cables connected from bottom to top tower to anchor it to the ground.....hope thats helpful and something you could add if needing content ,,

hello I'm switching from mini2 to mini4 pro, which I find excellent. With the mini2 I could directly download onto my iPad pro (via a hub) in the Photo App the photos and videos that I captured on the mini2's SD card. Now with the mini 4 pro only photos appear in the Photo app, videos are invisible!!! I tried in h264 and h265 same thing. (knowing that I am able to read files via the iPad File app!) An idea? THANKS.

New issue I am having: The flightdatarecord file I get from the rc2 remote has no data for times when I was disconnected during a long waypoint flight. This prevents me from being able to use data in gauges that I add to video. I would think that when the mini4 reconnects, it should batch update any missed data, as it does always reconnect just fine.

You need a faster shutter speed. I don't know if you can vary the aperture but if you can open it up and do not use an nd filter.

Lots of wise tips that apply to other DJI drones as well. What You say at the time 04:50, about 4:3 versus 16:9 ought to be valid for other drones as well. Correct? Gimbal speed. Now and then pointing the camera straight down in order to verify the exact position that slow mode will be annoying. Okey, the C1 button can be set and move the gimbal down very fast, but returns the gimbal at 0 degrees. Time 11:00. RTH when signal is lost..... BUT, the system calculates the battery capacity needed to get back to the Home Point and will set off for the Home Point regardless of this option. It surpriced and tricked me once...... Time 12:40. Setting of a session just practising hand catching is a good investment. It makes flying possible from rocky areas having no flat spots at all. The alternative is no flying. Works fine even for the bigger drones like the Mavic 3. Just a little reservation for very gusty wind. You might get hit by a prop..... Sine mode, yes. Turning OA off makes it easier but usually not used. The risk is starting a second flight and forgetting the OA is off..... Default settings....... Some Tubers tell that updates now and then change the settings used.

Hi Darren, thanks for tips! I'm thrown slightly however, you mention you record at 30fps, and are UK based like me, so any reason you don't use 25fps? Any benefit to change my settings from 25fps to 30fps? I was on the understanding 25fps is best used in the UK and tends to help with "light flickering" when recording. I think you might have missed a bit. He said he uses both 30 fps and 25 fps. 25 fps is the standard filming frame rate in the uk, this will give your video the most natural movement and cinematic look. 30fps is a higher frame rate and so has more frames which means the footage will be slightly smoother looking with more detail during movement, however the downside is the movement can look slightly unnatural. Light flicker is mainly with Flurecent lights, and I've only noticed this with flurecent lights in units on my video camera, but the same could happen with street lights, house lights and petrol station forecourt lights. Basically you wont notice any flickering during normal daylight filming. I hope this helps mate.

I still pick a golden nugget up from your vids - this time it was the tip about taking photos in 4:3 - of course! 🤦 Hey - one thing to watch out for that I might mention in my next vid as well is that with the recent massive update a lot of settings get reset to default - for example I always shoot in dlog-m, but after the update it reset to standard and I didn't realise until I got home and started editing the footage! Also the sharpness and noise reduction reset as well! All the best! Amok
