WHAT is up with having to BIND your drone to get the DJI Refresh plan AND you have to do it within 48 hours of activation. That’s some BS with DJI. If I bought the plan when I purchased it online then I should HAVE it! WHY do I have to “bind” it and within 48 hours of activation. And why don’t they explain that upon purchase????? Just merely curious. I’m pretty sure it was weeks after I activated before I knew about binding it but it said it took. 🤷🏾‍♂️

I was one of the idiots who had used a mini 2 for awhile and thinking I can test out my new mini 4 pro without reading the instruction. My first flght using the follow me function I crashed my brand new drone. I did not purchase the care package from DJI but they agreed to give me one time courtesy free repair. I am so grateful to find this outstanding tuitorial video. As soon as I started watching, I immediately realized my mistake. The obstacle avoidance feature is off when you set it on sport mode... and that is the reason for my drone to crash into a electrical cable. Thank you so much for the effort of putting together this useful video. I will be watching it a few more times before flying my new drone again.

Just a small tip on hand-catching the drone which is fairly safe. Put your hand below the drone..it will try to avoid your hand by going up a bit. Hold the left control and press it towards you i.e. press it so the drone comes down. Continue pressing it until it says "Landing". The drone will land in your hand and props will stop rotating. The spining route can be dangerous and looks like a bit more effort.

@@reyray5 The drone itself doesn't record any audio. Instead, you'll want another mic for that, and then mix the audio afterward together with a video editing app. In the case of field sports, an action cam might work well, since it's going to capture audio from many sources, though honestly, just using the voice recorder app on an older phone you might have lying around would work too.

I’ve had the 4 a few days now. I had 1200 flights on a 2 so it was time to upgrade. Few things I’ve noticed- tons more features that will take practice and adjusting. The 4 is not as fun to fly. I’m sure this will change with practice but the 4 doesn’t seem to fly as good. Kind of choppy and wobbly. It doesn’t show in video but the 4 seems less stable looking at it from the ground. The 4 is a drone built around a camera and the 2 was more like a drone with a camera on it. I’m sure I’ll get used to it and maybe I can make it fly better with some adjustments. Also, the drone gets hot fast. I am using a Bissell air filter ( like a little drum with clean air being blown out the top). It will work perfect to keep heat under control while transferring pics. It’s definitely way quieter. One other thing I have to work on is making the map smoother. It lags. It looks choppy and that bugs me. These are just a few things I noticed after a day or two. I will say one more thing if you made it this far in my ramble. The 2 is a way better first drone. I’d be lost if the 4 was my first drone. The 2 is clearly less capable but it forces you to focus more on flying. There isn’t so many camera options which become a distraction. Oh, one other thing… is pricing. For a beginner a 2 is cheap especially a recon. When it comes to pricing if you are upgrading to the 4, there are a couple decent financing options for people who don’t have $1200 laying around. QVC has like 4 pay plan ( no mp4 yet though). Also, I seen I think it’s called Flexshopper? They will finance a drone from Best Buy and I don’t think you need great credit. I considered it because I think it has a 90 day payoff kind of thing.

Great tutorial, as always, although would have been great to see the new Cruise Control option featured. One extra point, the MP3 Pro batteries aren’t “fully” compatible with the MP4 from a weight standpoint, as they weigh a few grams more and using MP3 batteries in the MP4 takes the weight up to about 253g - over the 249 weight.
