We start with a follow up on the Motion Controller for the DJI FPV, demonstrating the functions and use of the controller and finish with a long send to see how far we can get before I get my signal blocked by the landscape. The return to home functioned perfectly and, while it was slightly windy, it was an enjoyable post-demo flight. I hope you liked it too!

Started using mine,. Set my regular controller up for Manual Mode, use this one for Sport and Normal Modes, really fun. The record button is in a bad place as you mentioned. For now, I put a large washer over it held in place by tape. My rig is set to record goggles and aircraft full-time. Too easy to turn it off with that button, missed some good shots because of it.

Great video. My DJI Motion Controller only limits me 1500 Ft range for some reason until it reaches max distance. Is there a way to enable further flying (my regular controller works fine) ? Are others getting this same issue with the motion controller?
@BrandonBeans
@BrandonBeans 3 жыл бұрын
I had to extend the distance in the safety menu at first, as I was limited to 500 meters. I didn't seem to have any issue with the motion controller though, although, I got about 2 km. I have to ask, did it hard limit you like a geo fence, or did you run your range out?
@MrPlasmo
@MrPlasmo 3 жыл бұрын
@@BrandonBeans It hard limited me like a geofence. The drone just stopped and couldn't fly further. I could still see and turn around fine. I will have to look for the Safety menus to see if there is an option to unlock the distance, but didn't see this for the Motion Controller.

Hi guys, great video - I am thinking of getting it myself but have two (maybe stupid) questions - how is the picture in the goggles? Is it really like engaging? (like the video we can see here? This is literally the highest FPV quality in goggle experience you can buy right now. There's nothing better for in goggle view. If you get dizzy with VR though, you might get dizzy with this. Sitting while flying is the easiest way to start, standing you might get funny feeling just starting.

what do you think will happen if the motion controller was dropped mid flight?
@BrandonBeans
@BrandonBeans 3 жыл бұрын
Great question! Nothing serious at all, as soon as you release the trigger it would stop moving and hold position. The abrupt movement of the controller crashing to the ground might cause the drone to yaw and tilt the camera abruptly but the drone would stay put. It doesn't move position unless the trigger is pulled.

The drone has one board audio recording, but will only capture props and wind pretty much. The props-in-view argument is mute because the distortion correction setting removes the props from final captured footage.

Brandon, ***Big issue*** the motion controller may not charge with the battery pack per the manual, LIKE MINE. The only workaround, you’ll need to find an old Apple charging block (the small one) and a USB-A to USB-C cable only to charge it. Nothing else will work, trust me I know. This is a known issue. I spent hours trying to get mine to charge and almost sent it back per the warranty. Please let people know this. Thank you Sir!
