Reminded me of my childhood, the time spent in the back woods. For video blogging this quality is more than enough. I’m buying this … instead of an extra battery for my DJI mini 4 pro

This is exactly the kind of footage I’ve been hoping to see. And the kind of footage I want to shoot. I loved how you showed the ability to maneuver around branches, scan the vista, and hover awhile. I also like that you used the cinema mode. I understand your criticisms of the quality; I feel that way when people show me photos and videos from their smart phones with quality not even as good as this. This is an affordable periscope, and I’m guessing there are improvement to be achieved with software. Thanks.

Nice little drone for the price! And the quality is not too bad in that price point. But… at the shop 2 days ago, I had both the Neo and the 4 Pro in my hands… I really wanted to get the Neo but decided to order the 4 Pro fly more combo with the RC2, just had to, for better quality and all the other features. But the Neo is definitely an amazing little drone in that price point! Can’t wait to have my Dji Mini 4 Pro tomorrow 🥹🤩

Thank you for your work 👍Before selling it, you should try to modify the standard parameters set by DJI, for example shoot in 4/3 (sensor format) or by lowering the sharpness parameters to -2, noise reduction to -1 (in your shooting conditions), lower the exposure value...

The perception is way different if you watch this video on KZbin in normal player size vs fullscreen. And this pretty much summarizes the quality: it is fine for small screens (like smartphones) - and that is it. I think that was the initial value proposition from marketing perspective.

I've heard a lot of negative things and criticisms about the picture quality, and for the price of $200, in my opinion I don't see anything wrong with it. The picture quality looks great. People can't understand that it can't be compared to an Air 2s, a Mini 3, or a Mini 4 Pro. It's true that on the Neo the 4k looks like a a 2.7k, but it still looks great.

Totally agree, I already own the mini2, the mini 3 pro. I would rather pay 400 for a better neo with better camera and better wind resistant, longer flight times but still under 249 grams .. DJI was targeting new flyers in the drones market and will come out with a better Neo2 soon

A 135g drone is never going to cope with wind as well as something heavier. And you are right about their target market... newbies. Kids as well. the covered blades just make it feel safe. The noise is about the only annoying thing now.

Well done Sir!; agree with you 100% !!; I have the Mini 3 Pro / Mavic 3 / Nikon D780 (and original Spark!!!) at this point in time DJI has a bit of work to do regards the Neo image quality, no issues with everything else (except for the noise!!) some will argue close in it looks ok and I believe thats true however as soon as you start getting a wider / longer perspective the image simply falls apart and looks like a cheap DJI "knock off" !

You guys are getting ready for another freezing winter 🥶… us down here in Florida are getting ready for a break from the 90’s and 100’s… 80’s during the day and if we are lucky 🍀 we’ll get down in the 60’s for a few days. 60’s and everybody busts out their winter coats 🧥 lol

the video quality of the Neo, connected to the remote-control and some modifications (sharpness, white balance) is not that bad, but the videos coming from the standalone Neo, using just the buttons, is horror! that's what I want the Neo for, so I returned it to Amazon

Can you fly any of them other cameras 📸 it is the best $200 flying camera I know. Where I live it's actually $330 NZ dollars but that's at the shop not on the internet. Still a good price imo 😉

Star Performance, you obviously know what you are doing, ok the quality is only average but what you did with it overcomes that, content is more important, most 'creators. miss the point, for all those would be drone flyers this little chap is perfect and cheap, I have always wanted to fly but have been reluctant because of possible loss, with this I can do just what I want, if I can come home with something half as good I would be happy, at the end of the day i😅n this life it is what makes me happy and as a starter this would, all about perspective, all about FUN

Amazing for $200. Camera has limited dynamic range, doesn’t handle high contrast well. Maybe ND or CPL filters can help.

Why did you return the Mini 4? For this type of use that drone is way better as far as video and picture quality and it has great accident avoidance vs none. The upcoming Mini 5 is rumored to have a 1 inch sensor

I can’t decide if I want this. half of the people say it’s good looking the other half say it’s not so great. It looks like crap on my TV so I’m not sure what to think.

Looks too sharp and over saturated. Did you change any of the video settings. Also big selling point is follow mode, like to see more of this.

Hi - you used a controller, did you turn down the sharpness. You can't do this with a phone (how I'm going to use it).

To me they built this to compete with the hover air and they missed the mark because the hover air kills it and now they came out with the hover air pro 8k it's not a comparison. I own a dji inspire 1, mini se,mini 4 pro,air 2s,air 3,Mavic 3 classic and when I saw your footage no offense, I thought you subbed it with something else and couldn't beleive it was DJI.

DJI just want Neo to kill Harvoair ,they don't want to lost DJI mini's customer, I believe if most customer buy Neo & care only without controler , DJI has not too much chance to earn money. Mini 4 pro is far better than Neo ,easy to carry also;but it can't quick start up & wifi conctrol by mobile phone, I hope Hoverair can survial on DJI Neo's attach , then DJI will upgrade Neo or Mini in next year!
