Seems like it would be a great upgrade from my Action 2, mostly for the heat management. The Action 2 only works for small clips, at least in the best quality / high frame rates, because overheating.

3:41 - I can not imagine it is a comfortable driving position 😂 Looks awful. Sorry. Seat reclined to extreme, and not leaning to it. Wheel looks thus a bit far. You should be able to reach the top of the steering wheel with straight arm while your shoulder blade is touching the seat (in a comfortable not stretched out way) . From now on I will flash to every Ioniq6 in Bratislava too say HI. Nice and thorough review as usual. Thanks. I will stick to my Osmo Pocket 3 though. Keep on with the good work!

It is very exaggerated by the ultra-wide distortion. It was shot on a very narrow road in Častá, so I was probably leaning over to see something :D Thank you!

Thank you for the review. The general consensus is that the processing on OA5 is disappointing due to the unnatural HDR look. Shooting in D-log can help overcome this shortcoming but most users use standard image modes. The new firmware does not appear to have addressed the issue with image quality when shooting in one of the preset modes.

No stabilisation in slo-mo mode[correct me if I am mistaken], that'a a huge drawback. I don't care I can get it in-post in DJI app. It should work in a device.

@@marioplus321 I don’t think that anybody uses slow-mo mode anymore, the correct way to shoot slow mo, is to shoot 60 / 120p non-destructively in video mode and then slow it down in any editing or even publishing app. That footage is stabilized in-camera of course.

Perhaps he didn't because he knew of the firmware to increase the bit rate that was widely released yesterday (10/18/2024). Hopefully, he'll do an addendum or follow-up with the new firmware.

@@kennyle8640 I probably have different updates in the Testflight version of the Mimo App, so I honestly don't know whether the public has the same FW as I do. I have been doing some comparisons with other action cameras and I can only say that the amount of detail from the Action 5 Pro is certainly not worse than from the Action 4.
