DJI Phantom: Balanced Props Make All The Difference

I never tried the 8" carbons with the stock mount, but I trust what you say, I went to the 9" props because I was loading up on weight. I understand that the 8" carbons should be fine, so I've just got 2 sets to try. I am now running the H3-2D gimbal (see my later vids) which has an excellent damping system.

I've had no problems whatsoever with the 9-inch props (I've had 4 sets) but I did do the extra hand balance on the first 3 sets. I thought I'd try the last set out of the pack since I've added the H3-2D gimbal which has an excellent vibration damper, and I saw no jello. I've also just received 2 sets of the DSLR Pros 8" carbon props and will be testing them shortly. I originally went to the 9s because of all the weight I was putting on the Phantom. I've heard that the 8" props will work fine.

I'm sorry you had such a negative experience although I DID find the changing models annoying, but I usually always order two sets. I've found DSLR Pros to be great to work with, in fact at least one of the big name local camera shops and film supply houses that sell Phantoms turn their customers over to DSLR Pros for repair or custom work.

These are 9" carbon props from DSLR Pros. They are sold as pre-balanced, but they are not perfectly balanced. I suggest balancing on your own before using.

The 8" actually are a more stable prop.

Bought these props and was TOTALLY disappointed in them and the company. First they sent two of one style and two of another which of course makes a mismatch. I returned them for four correct ones only to be told they were out of stock but would send the 8" ones. OK, so I get these only to find them totally out of balance. They claim to be such high quality, but they are junk. You do not need the keyway in them anyway and you can buy better props from China in Ebay and save half or better.
