I just recently went from a Crane V2 to a discounted Weebill S, and I'm really happy with it as I work with kind of heavy GH5 rig. And more happy to see when it's competing really close with a 500€ gimbal right now. I feel like Weebill 2nd gen gonna be a beast of a gimbal. For me still the best format of gimbal.

@pf47734 жыл бұрын
As an international traveler I need a gimbal that is SMALL. Sure looks as though the Weebill S is not that far behind in stability, and for it's size that is amazing. I'm looking forward to Vu's "real world" review, but honestly, what you have done is significant. Your review measures stability in a way that is truly objective (as long as the parameters are correct:) ). The world around us can be broken down into two frameworks: chemical and mathematical. Think about the fast and furious movies-the cars that flip over when crashing-math can account for and explain exactly what is happening. Chemistry can do the same in a different way.Thanks for a cool, intellectual (math) approach to measuring stability.

I have seen a guy comparing both and which is not monetized. And the weebill s was better from his said. But he said he would keep rsc2 for build quality. But weebill s has best size, weight, battery, stabilization, low footage with slung mode but loose in build quality and customer service.

Hey Chungdha! Great recommendation. That will really target the tilt motor. I was at about 15 degrees tilted on the walk tests but probably closer to 10 for the standing tests. @SePark3 жыл бұрын
@@cavemanslens8499 between RSC2 and Weebill S, RSC2 has a stronger motor which makes it more stable. The jitter can be mostly resolved by the setting change. It all comes down to how important is the form factor and portability/weight of the gimbal. The smoothness can be mostly achieved by the operator’s skillful movement and setting changes. Operator doesn’t have control over how it fits in their bag and functionalities. Hope that view helps.

Thanks for the review Se. So if I were buying a gimbal brand new, should I go for the latest RSC2? Do you think the make is better, I heard on Vu's channel the Weebill S locks break pretty easily on the arms.
@SePark4 жыл бұрын
Hey Adrian! Yes, Weebill S axis lock does break easily if you transport a decent size camera on it. Mine is only intact because I take off the camera when I transport it from location to location. If you have a camera setup smaller than approximately 1200 grams, and if you hike a lot with your camera gear, Weebill S is a much lighter minimalistic budget setup. RSC2 is built better yes, but much heavier, and limited in gimbal modes you can access - it's only got 3 customizable slots for modes (huge oversight on DJI). I think it really depends on what's most important to you. What's top 2 priority for you? Stability, durability, portability (weight), simplicity, fast setup time, or app features such as motion timelapse? (because both of these gimbals are very unique and good in their own ways)
@adrianalfordphotography4 жыл бұрын
@@SePark thanks Se, I'd be like you not transport the camera attached. I guess my priorities are weight and easy set up and use. The Weebill S is $200 cheaper here in Aus over the DJI as well. As long as it gets the job done, I'll be happy
@SePark4 жыл бұрын
@@adrianalfordphotography without even being bias for owning a Weebill S for a long time now, I would think you would get more value out of the Weebill S especially with that price difference. It is significantly lighter as you will feel that weight triple when carrying in during a hike. (I have seen the places you travel and hike to...LOL). Weebill S also has all the modes on multiple buttons, easily accessible on command (vs DJI's 3 customizable modes). It gets little used to not hitting them by accident (one con but lock button mode is a solution). I know that's a long comment but I'm here if you have any questions especially about gimbals. :)

Hello, no ofense but I think your test has a nice approach but not really valid because I guess you haven't tweak settings for each gimbal for a specific goal, i.e. if one of the gimbals has a lower deadband settings or a speed value higher or a smooth value lower it will react faster than default and veat the other one, because will be set to achieve less time to center the frame BUT (and super big but) that's not what you want from a gimbal, footage will be horrible (and yes subject dead center) but jumpy, what you want from a gumbal is soothness over traking, operator focus on traking, gimbal on smooth the "jumps" now using the data you collected don't you think would be a better comparission the first derivarive of delta (how much is changing, how much jumpy?) Or even second derivarive (how much change frim jump to jump, smoothness?) Of course each test trying to get the best out of the gimbal depending what are you meassuring, just an idea, if you acomplish this would be the best gimbal comparission I have ever seen, keep the good work and thanks!
@SePark4 жыл бұрын
Hi! I actually appreciate comments like this. That's how this whole test was started and I want to keep making it better to near perfect. You're right in that if I did the test in other modes such as Pan Follow mode, the deadband setting would matter. That's why this method can only be done in Lock mode, and it's also the reason why I separated the X and Y axis data to see how much power and stability the tilt motor can handle. I do wish I could measure the jump or the smoothness when doing a tracking shot such as rotating shot or even just subject tracking. I took some note on this, and I will continue to improve this test. I may even do a separate episode on the journey of "making the perfect gimbal stability test". Hard to squeeze in everything in a 10 min video. Thanks so much for this comment! You guys are big part of making this test with me!

The execution of this test makes no sense. Having a gimbal mounted to another gimbal is not how these would be used. One arm is one side of the frame and moving one gimbal but is tandem to another gimbal so that gimbal is moving the other gimbal but in a different way... the whole test is useless garbage.
@SePark3 жыл бұрын
Less of a garbage than comparing a gimbal separately. This is not a perfect test but getting better each rounds of tests.
