For those of us with smaller cameras (I have an a6400 using prime). I don’t plan to buy big lenses (I consider the 16mm sigma big already), would you recommend the ronin sc? I do understand that an extra handle would need to be purchased (wish ronin used a similar form factor, smaller and with proper underslung)
@SamThingsHD5 жыл бұрын
Yeah I would definitely recommend the SC in that scenario. As long as you have no plans of moving to a bigger lens / camera combo 😊

@@SamThingsHD What about the A6400 with the 18-135mm kit lens? Can the Ronin SC handle both ends if I balance the camera mid-zoomed?
@HR-wd6cw4 жыл бұрын
Good overall review, but I Feel that the DJI is a bit more stable, especially when underslung (such as around 7:54) you can see small vibrations in the Weebill but on the DJI it's not really even noticeable, which is important to people (now I suspect if you enabled IBIS on the camera--if equipped) this can further take care of small vibrations.
@MrEvanTea Жыл бұрын
Will the Weebill handle a Canon 80D?
@JoeSzilagy3 жыл бұрын
I was surprised that you preferred the Zhiyun for the underslung usage, as you were bending down somewhat to get the camera closer to the ground (which looked uncomfortable for you), but with the Ronin, you were able to keep your back straighter, as the design seemed to enable you to have it closer to the ground without any bending.
@SamThingsHD3 жыл бұрын
Yeah from a posture perspective the ronin’s easier. But from a handling perspective, the weebil felt better because the grip is parallel to the ground so it’s like carrying a bag instead of a mallet - easier to control in my opinion. Similar handling advantage for the weebil in flashlight mode.
@dodgebard8164 жыл бұрын
Battery replacement is sometimes the most important feature. That is why I went with the Crane V2 at that time. Being out without power source for long periods makes battery life and "ease" of replacement. Weebill...sorry maybe you will get to it....replacing the batteries seems to be the easiest of all. Meaning while out on a shot or actually purchasing spare sets. I am at 9:55 and now moving on...

@SamThingsHD5 жыл бұрын
That’s a pretty light setup, so either would do for stabilizing. But I would go for the Weebill S in your case, since their image transmission module is better than just using imaging edge, and adds monitor functions apart from gimbal control in the zy play app.

You can get an arm that has a hotshoe mount, or put it in a cage that allows you to mount the mic on the side 😊 when I use my Saramonic receiver with my setup, I just clip it to the cables on the side instead of on the hotshoe.

I’d go for the Ronin S if I were you. The main selling point of the 2 in the vid is their size and weight. Since that’s not a factor, the Ronin S is the better choice. Just take note that it’s a little trickier to balance and store because it doesn’t have axis locks. But balancing gets easier with experience, and its box is also its carrying case - so not gamebreaking issues.

I went from Ronin S to Ronin SC because the S was too chunky and heavy. I didn’t bring it along as much because of that. I then switched from the SC to the Weebill S to handle heavier loads while still being able to fit in my backpack. If size and weight of the gimbal wasn’t a problem, I’d go with the Ronin S. But I’m not regretting moving to the smaller gimbals because I bring them along more often, and I’m very happy with the Weebill’s payload capacity.

That happens to me too, but probably for a different reason. The arm on the right slips (the one you adjust when balancing with the lens facing up) in that orientation with heavier lenses sometimes, so I need to remember to tighten that knob a little extra.
