Can you post how you set up all tracking speeds, etc ? My RS2 seems to have "soft" lock, track is often lost even under well lit scenes, and gimbal itself seems to rotate way too rapidly in all directions. Thank you !

@NatureTravelFilms Нет Ивар, я просто в HD посмотрел твой видос , а на своем ноуте расширение с 4К я вырубил нафиг, много софта с которым работаю - особенно VST плагины не адаптированы нормально и глючят при расширении в 4К странно, но я запарился переключаться, вот на 1920-1080 расширении еще норм можно работать, поэтому пришлось отрубить 4К ))) p.s. но в 4К я сейчас тоже заценил фрагментами твоё видео, снег в 4К лучше виден, но остальное и в HD меня радует :) В любом случаи ты же записал видео в HD , если увижу у тебя в 4К то конечно с удовольствием переключусь и в компе и на самом ютубе на 4К , у тебя сам контент TOP PICTURE!!! Так что ждем твои новые видосики 🔥✌️

@@wcsdiaries I would say its better to select face area, to finer edge results, tracking isnt able to tell is it face or just random area, so by selecting full person, in my tests showed worse results by citting face or leaving to little space above head!

When you are tracking something. Does the raveneye control the zoom on the lens as well?

Question The raven eye only works with an android device, but once connected to the hdmi of the a7iii it is not possible to use a recorder like ninja v right? But facetracking only works with an external recorder such as a ninja v. So when using the raven eye I am forced to use a phone as monitor right or dji clearsky? Do you know if the rs2 wheel can focus the a7 iii without using the external electronic focus wheel? It should but can't find it. Thank you so much!

Hey! I’ll try yo answer ! So in camera we have 1 HDMI port - and feed from camera is needed to perform active track , A7III limit in 4k face AF with any HDMI plugged in - but 1080p will work ! RavenEye works even without device - you can select and travk objects from RS2 screen! But yess Your only monitor in 4k while recording is your Phone or tablet! Thats limitations of A7 iii! RS2 can focus by wheel on A7 III , but it’s steppy and depends on lens - and there is cable that supports that and dont support other things - so its always a choice - and it isnt most affective way of controling the focus, if you tried manually controling the lens where is no hard stops on focus - it’s hard to not overturn - BTW those are the ones that support this function, lenses with no hard focus stop in end of focus !

Hey, Ronin SC - You mean first gen. version? You will be unable to perform any active track options, but RavenAye itself could be used for image transmission without any gimbal, just using the camera plugged to HDMI and You will connect via Ronin App and will be able to monitor image from camera on your phone or Tablet!

Does not Auto Focus in cameras already track your face in camera and keep it sharp? I get it will not turn the camera for you. But if you don t need that.

Autofocus is in camera dependent only, ravenaye only serves as a camera movement tool using gimbal by tracking objects you select.

Thank you for this video! Quick question - why do those structures in the water look blurry at 3:43? I wonder if DJI takes control over focusing when you use RavenEye and Active Track function is it only responsible for object tracking and turning while your camera still handles focusing? PS: I agree - camera, lens and gimbal together are pretty heavy to use it for vlogging and carry it in one hand...

There is screen recording, on top of filmed footage, and when i touched the moving part of gimbal, by phone holder and a phone, that made that ghosting effect, maybe because of delay between video! Focusing stays as it is by camera, dji control only tracking based on image transmission picture!

@@NoWheelDrive RS2 is hugely upgraded in comparisson with previous gimbals from dji, they managed to make a really good working auto calibration, that really works, before it was useless on Ronin S , and to get really good stability - only way was long experiments with parameters and the only way to change them via phone app, and now if anything happens on the set, few seconds , and you are ready!

hey I just bought the RSC2 and wanted to know if the autofocus is on the lens with the motor or if its internal to the camera you are using. I can't manage to have autofocus when doing the active track with the raveneye and the focus motor

Autofocus in my example is from camera, to get to work autofocus from focus motor, you need one more thing, lidar module on top on camera, then it will focus , bit its not connected wirh ravenaye!

How is the autofocus with a 300mm lens? 2. How is the active tracking with a 300mm lens? Asking because I videograph wildlife mostly, and it would be awesome if it can handle both very well!

hey! 300mm is a hard lens for Ronin, Autofocus is your camera dependent - so Raveneye is only for tracking, but camera may decrease focus options while connected to any HDMI unit like screen or transmitter, if Your lens is not a heavy one, ronin will work with it

Basically, a Canon R7 and a Canon 100-400mm RF lens (1.2Kg only). Do you think the raveneye will be able to handle this? Or will the focal length be too "tight" for the raveneye to be realiable?

I am using the rsc2 with the raveneye with Sony a7siii. I can't figure out how to control object tracking on the camera to maintain focus. Using an android phone, I don't any way to select a focus point. It would make it a lot easier if DJI would tell the camera to focus on what I am selecting for the Raveneye's Activetrack. If anyone has a solution to controlling the focus tracking pleas let me know. So far the Raveneye is pretty useless to me if I have to set the focus tracking on the camera and the object tracking on the phone.

The most usefull case if face AF is activated, then person in a shot will be in focus, if you need object ( not human) in focus, question is how you place it in the frame, select smaller zone of focus on camera, and if it will be in center of frame by tracking with ravenaye, then it will be in focus too!

@@NatureTravelFilms Using face AF is certainly not reliable, especially if the talent turns their back. If using a Sony a7siii, the image transmission is not needed, as the camera already supplies that. If you have to man the camera AND two monitors (camera and Raveneye feed to phone), what's the point of the Raveneye. DJI needs to build into their app a feature that whatever you are tracking, the camera keeps in focus. Otherwise its worthless IMHO

@@RobertPeakDesign its pretty worthless. This is obviously "beta" technology, soon it will all be integrated (no separate fiddly "raveneye" unit, one app/button for tracking and focus etc). Af is a hassle regardless, try to set it manually and stay at a certain distance if possible.

Hey! You mean it eats it much faster in combo then, just gimbal, it depends on tasks, its hard to imagine filming vlog style for a full day - using RavenEye, setup! Just for some specific shoots

Be verry careful of DJI , they advertise the capabilities of the RS3 , specifically Active Track , then take the RavenEye off the market , which essentially renders the active track capability useless.
