how far can the extender be away from your mobile device? What if you place the extender farthest away from your mobile possible and if it can actually extend the range?

Using wi-fi extenders in my home, there is no point having one placed near/close to original wi-fi source. Possibly place the wi-fi extender, say, 10 metres away from the phone?

Stock form the Tello has an altitude limit of about ten meters. There is a third party app however that will let you increase the altitude limit. I've seen them 100 feet up.

Most of the videos shot wit tello has frame skipping which is weired. You dont seem to hsve any frame skipping in your video. How do u solve that problem?

For a more accurate test you should have a wifi signal analyzer app on your phone to see how many signals are in the area you are flying and how strong those signals are. That alone could explain the differences in range you experienced. May not be the phone's fault at all.

Thank you for excellent review with wifi extender. I want to add something simple. As you know, the more wifi extender has strong dB or i mean the efficiency of antenna then the more it has long distance capabilities. So, did you try this comparison with mi wifi pro which has 2 antennas version. I'm expecting more range than mi wifi 2 . I will try soon.

It could be that your too close to the wifi repeater as well. Get back at least 2 meters from it.

Loss of signal is probably due to you having a SAMSUNG GALAXY android phone. I have a fairly new SAMSUNG GALAXY S7 and noticing WiFi issues with my other devices. Battery needs charging more frequently, sluggish at times. I'm impressed with the Tello but holding off till phone issues are fixed (or buy a ISO phone?)
