Just what I planned to do after my FULLY MAX lipo's crapped out - wont take a charge. I believe they are cheaper to buy as long as they fit in the case. This helped show its possible....just use a 3.7v 1100mah lipo to keep flying time.

I also used this mod but my tello always shows the full charged ext lipo batteries as under 10% and aborting take off due low battery error. Any idea why is that?? I tried both with 1150-3.7v and 1100-3.8v lipos

try to replace the battery control charge ( sometimes there’s bad tiny ic chips ) or buy a new tello battery
