PSU's were a weak point of most of 8-bit machines.. Typically, when they failed, they managed to fry the CPU or RAM chips in an instant, making any repair quite costly.. I had my 800 XL repaired twice because of this (in the 80's), before I bought a safe, custom PSU, which works perfectly up until today.

I've played with Atari ST's but never with the 8-bit machines.

I had a friend while at school and his Dad was like the local computer cracked game dealer. He had a full on Atari XL system with twin floppy drives and had everything. Most of us had spectrums at this time to seeing the graphics on the Atari was mind blowing.

I have part three ready, do you think it needs music to fill in the fast forward parts or just the sped up sounds ?
