If Sabalenka defends AO title, she will keep her no.1 ranking irrespective of others result. If Iga wins AO, she will reclaim the no.1 spot. If Sabalenka loses in Semis, then Iga has to make also semis to get back to no.1 ranking. If Sabalenka loses in quarters, then Iga has to make into 3rd round to get back to no.1 ranking.

I think vondrousova could secretly go on a run. She was playing pretty good against pavlyuchenkova and shnaider considering its her first tournament back from surgery, and hit a ridiculous amount of a winners and aces in those matches (22 aces against pavs!). If she recovers from that slight injury scare that made her retire from her match against shnaider, I think she could do well.
