You can call yourself anything you want. All I know is your harmonies still give us chills here in Colorado. 3 class acts and ♥ for taking a stand against hate, bigotry, racism, anti-environmentalism and the rest of those that are still what is wrong on this planet......amazingly after centuries.

When this song first came out I thought it’s about anyone starting on their own, leaving their families behind. I thought about how I my family put me on a plane in Jakarta to come to Melbourne to do my tertiary studies. Wide eyed, I went to my own adventure. Thirty years from that departure from Indonesia, still living in Australia, I can’t listen to this song without feeling emotional thinking about my own kids going off to their life’s adventures. I also realise how much of a sacrifice that had been for my parents.

Of the 100s of times I have listened to this song, I never heard the Mandolin so distinctly! And it might be the only time I have seen Keith Sewell on Mandolin.

Amazing solo voice. The rest of the band, back up vocals, arrangements and tightness of the overall ensemble is, of course, first rate. But without that solo voice there’s no Dixie Chicks.

I don't know what the problem was but please just put back Dixie in Chicks we all know you are all against racism....Dixie is just a place.

Right. A 'place' that to this day is still full of anti-American racists. Get over it. Their name is The Chicks.
