That trick on the bird level to move after the 6th bird comes out after the bird at the top passes is legend. Great video dude! Thx!

Great vid. You do a fantastic job of describing along the way. Too many tip videos don't have much discussion and teaching. This is my game of the week to try to get past 100k,

Big Donkey Kong fan, not so much for Jr. Watching you play brings a whole new light into this version. I'll have to try some of these techniques out. Thanks for posting this video.

I've been trying to look up strategies on how to consistently get the high jump on the spring. Glad to see that the "consistent" strategy is random mashing.

Can you believe that they add more snap jaws/animated bear traps for the later levels? Especially for the long play. I sometimes do, begin to wonder which of the birds Donkey Kong Jr. is going up against? ▶️

Awesome!! :-) I played Donkey Kong Jr. in the arcade back in the '80s quite a few times but I mostly played Scramble, Moon Cresta, Time Pilot and Phoenix. What kind of controls are you using? You are 'hitting the right arrow' multiple times so you are not using arcade joystick. Are you using arcade buttons instead of a joystick?
@DK3CHAMP7 жыл бұрын
In this video I am just using a keyboard for controls. I did in another video get 1,168,300 on one man on Arcade controls. Thanks for enjoying the video though. :)

Thank *you* for uploading such a wonderful video!! :-) I could watch it all day. I often watched others playing that game back in '80s, I was about 10 and the game was then still to hard for me, I couldn't pass the Mario's Hideout stage but I enjoyed watching older players who could. For me, Donkey Kong Jr. is the best of the Donkey Kong series. I played it yesterday but I still have trouble locating the exact locations of the safe zones in the Chains stage. Do you have any advice on how to know where exactly the safe zones are or is the only way to play the game many times, until getting 'a hunch'? I have one more question about the controls. Assuming you play with the joystick on the left - are your direction keys, when you play with the buttons, on the left hand as well? I built a temporary housing for the Dragonrise Zero Delay controller + joystick + 8 button + Insert Coin&Start and I am thinking of adding 4 more direction buttons to the left of the joystick so I could use them too. Although I prefer playing with the original controls - but sometimes the additional direction buttons might come in handy. Besides, some of the arcades didn't have a joystick controls so that way I could play those games exactly as they were played on the real arcade machine. I am BTW using Orange Pi PC + Retrorange Pi to run MAME and many more emulators. Who might think back in the '80s there would be a $15 pocket computer that would run all of the games from the arcades and many more!! :-)) I am really surprised this video has only 5k views, seems as people playing new generation games are not aware of Golden Age games which have 1000 times better playing experience than most of the games released after 1990.

Does DK Jr. Have a kill screen if not, then why point press? Just complete the levels indefinitely.

Yes, DK Jr. Has a Killscreen.

For someone who is asking people to give their life to Jesus, you would think you would have the decency to at least capitalize his name. You have probably have posted these two sentences all over KZbin hundreds if not thousands of times. If anyone needs to repent it's you.
