Yiddish is related to German but it's a separate language. Saying Yiddish is German is a bit like saying Catalonian is Spanish, Kurdish is Persian or Swedish is Danish. There is a large number of similarities and some mutual understanding but it's still two different things.
@salsicha53054 жыл бұрын
I see your point but to be fair Yiddish is almost mutually intelligible with German, I don’t speak Yiddish but I (german speaker) get what they are saying just fine, it’s another language, yes, but it’s pretty understandable to mix the two if you don’t speak or know either

I agree, although Yiddish and German are closer than Persian and Kurdish and the other examples you named. Yiddish is basically just medieval German, listen to medieval(Mittelhochdeutsch) poems and compare them to yiddish, THAT is the same thing. This is because the jewish diaspora from Germany started in medieval times, the jews preserved medieval German.

This song (only Yiddish version) came up on my workers song playlist on spotify. And firstly I wasn't 100 % convinced. Then I listend to it another time. And the more often I listened to it the more I loved it. And I am a German native, and I made it a challenge for me to try to understand everything that the song says. And it forced me to just stop whatever I was doing and focus 100 % on the song and that was actually a very interesting experience. And now I see this version on KZbin. Bismarck was referring to the Catholic blacks, i.e. the centrists, not the anarchists. As an anarcho-capitalist can never join a fascist (because the fascist will resist the anarcho-capitalist's philosophy of self-interest which contradict with the his statist ideals and the anarcho-capitalist shall resist the fascist's restrictions on immigration which contradict his philosophy of the pursuit of wealth through open borders and a meritocratic society), an anarcho-communist can never join a Marxist-Leninist, lest the Marxist-LEninist see his police officers hit with molotovs and the anarcho-communist's local organisations destroyed by the vanguard party.
