Oh, Krynnspace would be a nice topic to cover - always fun to hear how the plague of tinker gnomes spread to other setting via spelljammer :D Irda are a great unique race to Krynn, yet a bit to many off-shots make it overly complicated. Their magical and shape shifting abilties made them good NPCs and their peaceful nature a challenge to play.

It's a challenge, unless players disregard their nature, and only take the race for their shapeshifting powers (which they _will)._ In my day, the big murder hobo trope was the chaotic-evil halfling assassin.

Simple. As it is done in reality those who chose to be violent in all it's corruption & perversion survive getting shot & such wether they like it or not, tried, convicted & imprisoned in a dungeon. Not a generalized population or confinement due to a lack of facilities in the first place....that is due to a lack of sobriety/vegan as ever......dungeon. You'll notice they are fearful, hateful, insulting, mocking, indifferent or each per species having been witnessed having killed outright or molested at all for that matter. A Irda that is a grand champion martial artist & scientist is the perfect example of our species prior to schism.

I dislike the fact that the Irda have slight builds and pointy ears in the official art. Makes them seem like another subspecies of elf. I wanted them to look like beautiful, statuesque and physically powerful. So I use art from India representing blue-skinned heroes and gods to represent the glory of the Irda. Another change I made is to use "Mischta" (twilight people) to represent both the Irda and the Nzunta. Dark Irda are too good as villains to keep them isolated to Selasia.

My favorite race in Krynn! Cuelos was my cleric. TheOtherlands book does not do a good job of visually representing them. Loved the memories associated to this race and Dragonlance as a whole within your videos. Thank you.

It's the Irda (also Mischta and Nzunta) are the "tiny fraction" of ogre-kind, not the standard ogre. Their populations are barely enough to replenish themselves. Takhisis did not create them. Evil cannot create true life (just ask Raistlin!). She corrupted their hearts, using the Sword of Tears, and twisted their appearance-- and apparently, their very genes, since the Nzunta still suffer the occasional birth of a child with characteristics of the Orughi (sea ogres). Once again, this is all from memory. Pretty sure I even got the spelling right. :-D

It’s however you want to pronounce it. With regional dialects, unless the writers themselves spec it, it’s up to the reader.
