Dr. H- you have an incredibly accessible manner about you. 😊This is my favorite series. The mix of hard science with a humble, direct and truth-seeking demeanor is highly magnetic. I’m what I call a slacker hacker- former trainer and yoga instructor - gym rat. Started Tirzepatide in March after decades of my weight yo-yo’ing and dealing with difficult to treat hypertension and NA Fatty Liver Disease. I’m now down 45lbs to my goal weight, am on maintenance dose, and my FLD is reversed and BP has never been so well controlled. I’ve gone from two high dose BP meds to only one med, and at half the dose I was on. Hope that I’ll soon be off of it, too. It’s important to do resistance training, drink plenty of water, eat plenty of of fiber and protein. I believe these peptides are the future of proactive health care.

To me this is a very bittersweet episode. It's not an easy realization that mainstream medicine has failed except in keeping people alive and sick. The alive part is obviously amazing, the sick part is not. Most medical research is also now very close to useless, only synthetic (patentable) pharma products are studied in incredibly biased ways. Bioidentical hormones, peptides and molecules (biologics) are largely left out in the cold or outright banned where they compete. Then we have amazing clinicians like Dr Koniver who have wealths of clinical knowledge using mostly biologics but it's siloed, hidden and extremely expensive thus very few can access this kind of care. I love the part about positivity though, somehow we need to have a medical revolution. Vote for your health freedom!

Great discussion. I was “hooked” on antidepressants (SSRI’s) for 12 years, couldn’t get off them as hard as I tried, the withdrawals were horrific. I started taking NAD injections for general health and coincidentally tried to taper off my SSRI’s and noticed I have zero withdrawal. I got off them within a month and never looked back. I was miserable because I was literally doing everything. Tirzepatide has changed my life in no time. I microdose. I still feel hungry and eat but it's just melted the fat off. My hormones are even more balanced than they were from the bioregulators. I have gained muscle as I train three times a week - hard. Thank you for finally discussing Methylene Blue! My recommendation is to heat up 4oz of water (45 sec in microwave). Put the Methylene Blue in the warm water and add about a tablespoon of vitamin C powder. Stir and it becomes clear and won't stain. It also allows the vitamin C to pass the blood/brain barrier.

Dr. Koniver’s approach can be seen as both innovative and cautious in this respect. He is leveraging newer therapies that seem to have low risk of harm, but their full efficacy or potential risks may not be fully understood. This makes his methods more exploratory, appealing to those looking for cutting-edge solutions in health optimization but requiring a degree of trust in treatments that are not yet mainstream.

Dr. Craig brings up a very important point (several times) that gets missed/ignored by a lot of fitness influencers... The act, and effort, of working out, is massively different between people who are fit, and people who are significantly unfit. For fitness influencers, for fit people, for Andrew, working out is enjoyable, and there is "good difficulty" - all the resilience, willpower, commitment, pushing yourself, making PRs, all those are ultimately enjoyable during or after-the-fact. For overweight or very unfit people, working out is a *different kind of difficult* - the machines never fit; the weights do not move well; joints hurt; bodyweight and shape is messing up a lot of movements; you're too weak to do X, Y or Z, you get out of breath too fast... quite simply, *exercise is not enjoyable if you are under a certain level of fitness* and it's very demoralizing and difficult to get to that level, where you can perform well enough to start enjoying it. And this mostly gets ignored (or is just not internalized/understood) by all the fit youtube people who tell unfit people to go to gym and grind.

I felt the same way when I started training 7 years ago. The reality is that you need to change the way you think about working out. Consistency is way more important than how hard you work out. Start easy, you should never be sore. The way to do that is to monitor your heart rate and build your aerobic base. Focus on zone 2 training which is a lot easier than you think. Check out “the maffetone method”. It’s a game changer. It will make working out fun because it feels easy and you will see results as you are able to run/bike faster at the same low heart rate. Once you build your aerobic base you can start adding light weight lifting and you will have established that habit pattern of working out. Good Luck!

I’ve been using your Neuroplasticity Super Protocol and NSDR practices rigorously, especially during 5-6 hour study sessions and daily workouts. It often adds up to 2.5-3 hours of NSDR per day. Andrew, I love your podcasts - they're consistently outstanding! While listening, I noticed something I thought you might find interesting: there's a subtle but meaningful distinction between initialisms and acronyms that even expert communicators sometimes mix up. When we use abbreviations like BPC, FDA, NFL, or NBA, these are actually initialisms - where we pronounce each letter individually (F-D-A). Acronyms, on the other hand, are abbreviations we pronounce as complete words, like NASA or SCUBA. This distinction is close to my heart since my own name, T.J., is an initialism. As someone who values precise communication, I thought you'd appreciate knowing this nuance! Keep up the fantastic work - your content is making a real impact!

With respect to injectable peptide compounds, yes, there is a risk with certain grey and black market online peptide purveyors, however, that does not mean that all non-pharma grade peptides have impurities. I have personally used both pharma prescribed and non pharma-grade peptides, have done independent 3rd party testing myself and the results were from at around 99% purity for all the peptides tested and matched the COAs supplied by the seller. Bottom line is that I would only use non-pharma peptides from suppliers that have done 3rd-party independent testing. The cost for pharma-grade peptides can be 3-4x's more than from non-pharma. Something to consider unless you don't mind spending more than you need to.

I love this podcast. It is very helpful for finding automomy. Which is my jam. I have always taken my health in my own hands. And I believe it's something everyone should do. I've made numerous changes to my health regime as recommended and highlighted by Huberman, and they have helped a lot. Daytime light was obvious to me, (and yes necessary) but viewing sunset light has changed the sleep game for me. I take NAC currently. I make sure to floss at night (something I overlooked). And I use the physiological sigh during high stress times. As well as stop hiccups when I want! lol. Really great podcast!!!

I paid 26000 for PRP for nerve pain after being hit by a semi truck at 75 miles an hour. I should have died. My neck was fused. They wanted to do my lower back, and most disk in my spine had been destroyed. PRP didn't work. What worked best was TB 500. I did 10mg a week for 10 weeks. It took care of all my pain. But this worked for me I am not saying it will work for you. I wasted 26 grand when 300 dollars of a peptide helped.

One issue with injectable peptides that looms large for someone striving to avoid toxins is that they all use toxic preservatives, such as benzyl alcohol. They'll tell you it's a tiny amount and your liver will detoxify it but it can't be good.

Great insights! Emphasizing that NAD therapy is a long-term investment is key. A short infusion window of under 2.5-3 hours often results in faster NAD metabolism into AMP, reducing efficacy. Dr. Ross Grant’s work supports that sustained NAD administration over longer sessions is vital for maximizing benefits and cellular longevity. For anyone considering NAD, understanding that it’s not a one-time fix but rather a “long game” is crucial for achieving meaningful results. It saved my life over the course of a few years once a month. 5 days at 750-1000 mg really helped my TBI

In this episode Dr. Koniver mentions methylene blue as a treatment for carbon monoxide poisoning. It is not typically used to treat carbon monoxide poisoning. The primary treatment for carbon monoxide poisoning is 100% oxygen therapy or hyperbaric oxygen therapy in more severe cases. These methods help to rapidly displace carbon monoxide from hemoglobin, thereby restoring oxygen delivery to the body’s tissues. Methylene blue, on the other hand, is primarily used in cases of methemoglobinemia, a condition where an abnormal amount of methemoglobin is present in the blood, impairing the blood’s ability to carry oxygen. In methemoglobinemia, methylene blue helps by reducing methemoglobin back to its functional form, hemoglobin, allowing normal oxygen transport. As a provider in an emergency department I think it is important to correct these mistakes as we have plenty of patients that demand treatments they hear on KZbin. I do enjoy the show and want to keep it as credible as possible

Great great episode. So much information and truly appreciated the candor at the end regarding the FDA and questioning of their intentions. I am curious about the results seen in men v. women with some of these peptides, including BPC157, specifically, women in perimenopause - even if just a small sampling of Dr. Koniver's patients. Are the results the same? The end of the episode on mindset.... Mic Drop! Great way to end it. And so so true.

2:19:15 I would argue (as a long-time advocate [unpaid lobbyist in my context]) that it’s not necessarily that the government’s erroneously going too far. It’s just that lawmakers are forced into coming up with solutions that have to be, “one size fits all”. The motivation for this fairly pointless pontification, just so you know, is to help “you” (aka Huberman et al) because this is EXCEEDINGLY helpful (in addition to intellectually stimulating and entertaining) content. Content, for which I’m more than grateful.

Be careful with BPC 157. It accelerates cancer. I was using it along with TB 500 and IPA/CJC for about two months and then I noticed my piss stream is getting really weak. Went in for a prostate exam and sure enough I got a lump in there. Due for a biopsy in a few weeks. I’ve stopped the peptides and going to try a few things to see if I can shrink it and then getting a second opinion.

I have Autoimmune Hashimoto''s and I have lowered my antibodies to just 42 through the AIP Protocol and my lifestyle changes. I also have two auto-inflammatory skin conditions and I will be starting BPC 157 shortly to treat this inflammation and wound healing two areas of concern for me no matter how hard I work on my health. I have been taking CO-Q10 now for 30 some years and have enjoyed many good results with my heart and my (former) gum disease.
