I heard once of how if we met ourselves in real life we wouldn't recognize ourselves because of how we're more used to see our reversed reflection (mirrors; that's also why we hate our faces on photographs, because our face is turned the other way, and we aren't used to that), and the fact that honestly even if I we met someone looking like us we would have a hard time admitting it because of how unlikely the situation would seem to us. And on top of that, Vergil has silver hair and honestly to me he looks rather older than Dante so I don't blame Dante for not noticing.

Also, Vergil would've never gotten his doppelganger without this. So many mechanics in 5 were first developed in DmC. We need to respect this game. It will never hold up as a DMC game, but without it, we wouldn't have gotten the gem that is 5. We owe thanks to this edgy mess. And the story wasn't complete garbage, honestly Vergil's betrayal was the only real weak point (Plus the 360° No Scope Abortion) as it felt shoehorned in. Like they gave Vergil this amazingly caring personality, the conviction of the original Vergil, and a unique drive, but they felt that Vergil had to betray Dante to be more like the original. That's the problem I really had.

The reboot Vergil never espoused anything about honor, nor does he even say the word, nor is it anywhere in his biography.

Anyone may say anything about Dante, but Vergil looks so so damn better than the way he used to... and at least he doesn`t sound like a kid whose balls were being kicked. Besids that, this game was quite good and it was a reboot, so they had to change a few things. And as always, Vergil is defeated (God, why?) and Dante `shaves` the day. Bullshit
