Ohhh my gawwwd. like somebody already said, I've had this game since it was released and I never knew all this was possible. Damn, I thought I couldn't be even more blown away after I found out what all Dante could do in the MvC 3 games, from watching those EVO competition vids. Every fan of the new Dmc game needs to watch this vid. Though you made a vid of both games, this Dante looks so much better when doing combos. The new Dante's combos are sick but the old just has more flare and bad azzness to it. Not only that but more room to roam while doing freestyle moves. The new Dante is more centered on his opponent when doing combos. The old Dante is so much more of a bad azz period so that just makes it all the better.

I've always wanted to play it and dmc4 gave me what i wanted and was expecting from such a highly rated game.

Can’t lie in terms of combos this game makes DMC 5 look like a walk in the park. The timing window for JCs is so slim and being able to switch smoothly between weapons is no joke. That said, I can’t wait to spend the next year trying to git gud at this game.

Oh yes.I too have said that at first.If you are having a hard time,first of all,learn all of Dante's moves in all of his styles which I didn't actually do.I just switch styles at mid combos and then boom,I get stylish points and SSS

Obviously in terms of depth, DMC4 dante has way way wayyyy more moves then the DmC dante. However, the grind it takes to reach that depth is what frustrates me the most about DMC4. If they can just remove that grind, add more music variety, remove those douchy puzzles then we got ourselves a great game

Time and effort to be a very good player is one thing, but being deprived of certain movesets because you have to kill another 1500 enemies is another. Especially towards the end, where the cost per move gets annoyingly high. That is where DMC4 got it wrong.

Actually the grinding kinda motivated me to keep playing and learning more. Eventually i got every moves and i feel like i accomplished alot but still need plenty more things to accomplish like doing at least one of these kickass combosxD

DMCSE doubled the gain. Not to mention, learning skills at too fast of a pace can screw over the player by obtaining moves too fast thus not having enough time to experiment with them in favour of other moves. It is kind of bad already when Dante starts off with all 4 styles right away and isn't newbie friendly at all.

Aero Clavier I'll second to that. DMC 4 was my first DMC game and the styles threw me off. I ended up just using Sword Master and Gunslinger, and I only used Gunslinger when I fought those phantoms and I had to. I barely touched trickster and royal guard. Now in my second play through with Dante I am using them all, since I've had time to experiment with the rest, but at first it was overwhelming the four styles. I find Dante the hardest to play, yet the one I really wanna learn. Virgil is fun as hell(maybe a bit overpowered in my opinion) and so is Lady. Have yet to play Trish though. I found Nero the easiest to play, and I when I switched to Dante I realized how depend I was on the devil bringer.

puzzles are good.. especially in dmc3.... it has more interactions in the surrounding.. it actually lessen in dmc4...the only crappy puzzle is the one in fortuna castle.. where we have to get those damn 4 spinner sh*Ts.

Jump canceling (jc). A very common and important mechanic that resets your aerial abilities (sky star, aerial rave, rainstorm, caliber, etc.) allowing the player to stay in the air for an extended time to pull off some crazy aerial combos like in this video
