This set in 2000 is one of the greatest, just a few had seen no fader cuts with this special recorded for turtablism records, all kicks, hats, notes or samples falled in same places of the vinyl but at that moment everybody believed hi was dropping the needle god mode
@billmuertos4 жыл бұрын
Can you explain your comment doesn't make 100% sense
@tomix3b4 жыл бұрын
Billy Z do you know the turntablist vinyls made to do the ´no fader’ cuts? You raise and drop the needle moving the record not using crossfader and you get cutted sounding tricks. If you do that with a normal vinyl is almost impossible to always drop the needle in the same place and at the moment Craze did the performance turntablist records werent common, so the audience believed craze was doing impossible skills. You know I mean?
@djdeemz76513 жыл бұрын
@@billmuertos In English - you can buy scratch vinyl that are called skip proof scratch tools because it will have a few scratch samples that loop 20 plus times but the way they are arranged means all the sample are in the same place, typically on a normal say a hip hop beat the sounds will move position with each turn so for example if you imagine the top of the record is a kick drum sound and you say it's 12 o'clock and you let the record spin one turn the next kick won't be at 12 o'clock but will be at the 1 o'clock position the next turn 2 o'clock on a skip proof its always at 12 o'clock in the exactly the same area , if you notice he uses stickers on his vinyl to mark specific points , on a skip proof you don't need the sticker for the accurate cue up of sample you just drop the needle in the area for that sound and it doesn't matter what groove it falls in also this helps with needle skipping at high speeds and also makes needle dropping like craze did possible at the time craze did it skip proofs were just coming out , most of the djs knew aboth them but the crowd didn't so it blew alot of people away . I hope that helps also now there are ultra pitch skip proofs - these are meant to be used with ultra pitch high torque turntables and played at minus 33% this allows for greater record control as the vinyl and platter are moving slowly and you can fit a couple more samples into the loop .

Before it was grabbed by the mainstream, dubstep was a very small scene and was based around only a few nights (DMZ, FWD, etc.) "Come meditatate on bass weight" was DMZ's slogan, and it describes the listening/dancing/social experience perfetly.
