I like and enjoy the game. I am still playing All-American in my 2nd season. In ncaa 14 I played with SS. But on 25 I play with LB and am finding great success on defense. I still cant figure how to catch player from behind lol...angles is everything in this game

ryan moody is 1000% correct about gameplay. The things the AI does blow my mind. Linemen standing still or deciding to stop blocking for no reason, defenders standing still, and players breaking 45 tackles in a row. Commentary has no emotion. Won a natty in OT... Chris fowler: "and its a touchdown😐". Team celebrations consist of a stupid dance while 3 teammates stand still in the background. The sidelines are legit copy and pasted from madden and they also barely show any emotion. Mo Bamba plays in every stadium at least twice a game, most stadium intros feel the same. Lazy. As for dynasty, AI sim logic sucks, 90+ overall juniors don't declare for the draft, AI recruits have full beards and look like they are 40 years old. This is only a problem bc we can not change their faces. Also, real examples of AI names I have seen: B. Clinton, N. Word, Joey Chestnut, Shaq Virgin, and my favorite: Jesus Superstar CFP rankings are the dumbest thing I have ever seen, we should be able to edit the polls ourselves if they are not going to fix it. Why is 11-1 Georgia above 12-0 Ohio State when Georgia's loss is to Ohio State in the non-conference. AI schedules can have 11 or 13 games. Top teams never play games against small schools. They play 3 top ten teams in the non conference. Conference schedules sometimes have all away games or all home games. Players from the user school never transfer. Can't schedule visits for recruits even if they are ready. We should be able to edit generic players' faces and numbers, make players go to draft, edit AI schedules, and more. They said they wanted dynasty to feel like sandbox bc it is "our game" NCAA 14 had more customization. Not sure how people can say this game is good when you consider how many issues there are. especially when it was developed for 4 years and delayed 1 year. Only reason I have any hope for future versions is bc the dev team is made up of real cfb fans.

@cwill-e7i ok a few things to dissect here, are there negatives in game sure but only focusing on that every game you play you will not ever truly enjoy it nothing Is perfect now on to your points I enjoy the actual gameplay it's really good especially compared to madden it's more lively and way more interactive less animations , the crowd reactions to big plays momentum swings are great imo, The presentation needs to be better it's lacking for sure, the announcers for the big games are trash Chris Fowler did a terrible job they should've got joel klatt...the announcers for the regular games are good though they are way more lively. Ai sim logic etc, in real life if you follow college football you have a ton of 6 year players the number 1 pick in the draft stayed in college 4 years no injuries in reality because of the nil and money these kids are making now you will see alot less players leave after their 3 year and stay 4-5 years now in college some players are making more in college than they would make in the rookie contract .. Highschoolers are looking like grown men these days if you follow recruiting also in game there is the transfer portal and juco transfers so that's part of it too, I had teammates in highschool with full ass beards ... those AI names tho I haven't seen anyone of those lol it's kinda crazy but you can edit them just not numbers which is idiotic imo, idc about ratings because people cried about realism but want to make demi God recruits and play on freshman difficulty 🤣... Now where I really disagree with your points are on the CFP rankings being absurd , it's been absurd in real life .. a 12-1 Georgia team thus year would be ahead of an undefeated Ohio State team because Georgia's schedule is harder and they have SEC bias, we had an undefeated Florida State team get left out of the playoffs the committee has gotten it wrong alot , and idk if you know the CFP rules but there are 4 auto bids and the highest ranked G5 champion makes the playoffs auto bid as well... Have you looked at Florida schedule this year? The whole schedule is basically ranked opponents also the non conference in game in dynasty is a direct copy of real life schedules....with the new rules and how things are going bigger schools will stop playing these smaller tune up games because there will be no incentive because it hurts the strength of schedule. While Ryan moody makes some good points alot of his content is just rage baiting and nitpicking you can't ask for realism then ask for ultimate creation, it dosent work like that... In real life football players do boneheaded things all the time there are whole segments on TV dedicated to it, and it feeds the "sports are rigged" community all of the channels that claim to be so mad at the games EA makes etc ask yourself thus question why do they continue to buy and play the games soo much if they hate it so bad?.... yall begged for the game to come back and now it's back yall complaining about little things, then just don't buy it don't play it find something else to do it's nothing wrong with criticism of a game or voicing how much you like it but you have to polar opposites in people like GGB and RM on total unrealistic reviews of the game And remember it's a video game it's meant to have fun not be a quality of life depletion lol 😆 just enjoy it how you enjoy it or don't play it don't buy it don't spend energy or resources on it it's simple

As a matter of fact, since the release I haven't ran across anyone anywhere saying they are upset because the game is not perfect. But EA has been making "simulation" football games for 20 years now so, there are expectations that the games should feature certain things and have a clear level of quality. The gameplay is very good but not great. But outside of gameplay this game is not very good at all. I’ve been playing since 98. This game is good, been playing non stop since release. It’s not perfect and some patches would help but even without the patches, it doesn’t hurt the experience much. For me, it’s a solid 8 out of 10. It’ll never meet everyone’s expectations but it exceeded mine.

The game is straight and it's pretty good being its an EA Sports game. However, its over hyped and i understand because I over hyped it as well. The game is fun at times but it suffers from the bugs EA Sports games always have and poor football logic this franchise refuses to fix. This game is literally a cash grab and its definitely a Madden reskin. Madden will play the same but the only difference it won't have the new ball trajectory which makes no sense. Its theur way of not having both games appear and feel the same. At this point EA doesn't need to be supported nor should they ever make any sports game ever. EA is an horrible company.

I play this game on heisman and the defense in this game is terrible. I have no problem giving up points and losing games but if you give up 6 scores and 4 of the scoring drives are 4 plays or less is terrible. I've lost more games in my 2.5 seasons so far than 11 years if nccaf 14. I've gotten good at the kick meter but defense is terrible.

if I gave an overall rating it would be 6/10. game is decent, but not as good as people are saying it is. gameplay is carrying the game. because the other modes don't really feel finished in my opinion all in all, I'm still having a lot of fun as I finally got my first conference championship with UAB in year 3

I agree. I just feel like a money grab. 10 years and 2 gaming systems this should have everything 14 had, plus more (coaching archetype and five whole uniforms for teambuilder.) I understand due to NIL we can't create players. But allowing us to edit non-NIL player's appearances, names, and abilities compared to just changing their number is dumb. I would rather not be able to change a appearances. I like DM and other youtubers, but not talking about 10 years and two gaming systems is shady to me.

It is fun to _play_ and it IS a legitimately good football game schematically but there seems to be so much low hanging fruit Simple things like the UI -- why do I need to click into player scouting vs being able to use the right stick like in ultimate team OR why can't I see a player's dev trait on his player card or at all when cutting players (err encouraging them to transfer) OR why doesn't the game clearly show how much players progressed (like it used to) or clearly show coach boosts To more foundational things like why is there no actual coaching carousel and why can't I accept jobs for lower rated programs if I want and why can't you set depth charts by formation or who TF thought it was a good idea to flip the how read options work or did anyone actually test what would happen when you had three level 50 coaches and how that would affect ratings To say nothing of nice-to-have sandbox features like creating old conferences -- with accurate logos -- or having no playoff or just a four team player or the BCS. And that's just dynasty It really could have used another year of development. I wish they had released it as a beta for people to test (and break) then came back with a more finished game in 2025

Once they fix most of the weird issues I will give it a 8/10. I don't like or care about all of the NIL guys that ruin customization for everyone. Each team needs to have the rest of their uniforms. My teams helmets keep going white midway thru each season and doesn't go away until that season is over which is super annoying. Then the balance of teams is definitely broken. I keep seeing UAB in the CFP 😂.

Recruiting is easy just recuit QB, RB,WR, LB, DB with 90 speed. A star recuit with 90 speed will kill a 5 star with 80 ish speed

This game is broken like every other ea sports game. Its still fun but it's frustrating because of terrible animations in certain situations and bad ai blocking and tackling logic. It doesn't matter your skill level when the game anal rapes u at the most inopportune time with glitchy animations or blockers who just stand there like statues ignoring pass rushers despite adjusting sliders. Its especially bad if you're playing competitively or for money. It really is a bare bones game outside of gameplay. Presentation is generic and dynasty mode isn't as deep as it was in NCAA 14. They need to go back to the physics based engine they had in madden 15 for better more realistic gameplay imo.

This game doesn't feel complete under the hood. The gameplay is not the issue. That area is fine. I played football in HS (many years ago) and I'm an avid football fan (im tuning in Thursday - Mon and I'm watching vids of people breaking down schemes, plays and formations on non game days). I understand the chess match in football pretty well. I dont have problems playing the game. Im sorry, but in my opinion, the dynasty mode has a number of issues that have been huge turn offs for me. The sim stats, lack of injuries, simmed game results, weekky rankings, and scheduling issues when changing temas in some conferences are big issues for me. I dont like not being able to change players' numbers and ending up with RBs with numbers in the 80s and QBs with numbers in the 30s. There are a lot of people who are thoroughly enjoying this game, and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. I will say, though, that EA is notoriously bad when it comes to fixing issues in it franchise modes in any of its games. Im not optimistic that all of the issues i listed above will get fixed, and if they are that something else in the game won't then be broken for weeks or months or never get fixed as well.

He's not taking into account our legit issues with the game. This is another surface deep review that skips most of the multitude of issues this game has when you start to dig into it. If you go to a Play Now game and in the Team Uniform Edit menu, you will see 6 options for the PS5. Xbox only has 5 options. The missing option is for socks. So you get what the game gives you for your choice of sock color. White. It's all white socks. EA is deciding what we want whether we want it or not. If that doesn't prove that this is an unfinished game I don't know what will. How about for the Offline Dynasty family. We want to use a Team Builder Team in our Offline Dynasty. Nope. You can only use a Team Builder Team in Play Now or in an Online Private Dynasty. To play an Online Dynasty you have to pay Xbox or PlayStation each month for that privilege. This is an example of EA and their partners overall micro-transaction strategy. Want me to keep going? I can name example after example of how EA published this as an incomplete game and also continue to deliberately put things in or keep things out of the game at our expense. Most don't make any sense. How about customization? Try changing a player's helmet and facemask in Player Edit. This is a great exercise for everyone to try out. It's fairly easy to find a helmet you like. I have the Schutt F7 selected as my helmet model. Now I'm off to select a facemask. There are 156 facemask options. But....Only 23 of those facemasks work with the Schutt F7 helmet. Now....I know this because I had to scroll through all 156 facemasks to see which ones could be equipped with that helmet. It's a virtual Where's Waldo's facemask to find which ones can pair with that helmet. Okay....So now I have to try and remember which 23 of those 156 choices were pairable. Now I have to go through all 156 facemasks again trying to find and decide which one I want. And on and on and on and on it goes. Over and over and over again. Maybe I can narrow it down to 2 choices. But what column and row were they in? Who knows? They all look similar. They aren't numbered or labeled, and my eidetic/photographic memory is temporarily unavailable. Perhaps EA doesn't want me to edit so they made it as difficult as possible. Still think this is a great game?

The game is a 6 out of 10 at best. Yes gameplay is fun. But imo presentation sucks. The team intros are cool at first. But there is no graphics package. The broadcast team doesn't talk about your star players, season stats etc. The broadcast themselves are just boring. Dynasty is boring. Yeah recruiting has depth. But there's no historical stats. I can't even look back at who won the championship the year before. Can't manually upgrade players. No sort of practice to gain xp. No way to set a gameplan. Kinda like you do in Madden. All these teams play slightly different. But I can't scheme for my upcoming game. There's a lot they coukd have done here. And RTG is just trash. The recruiting process is dull and boring. The activities between games is dull and boring. I played as a WR at Clemson. I couldn't even really run routes. As the AI QB has zero touch. If it wasn't a slant, post or some sort of quick out route, they'd get picked. Hopefully, EA parches in things throughout the year. Luke a trophy room. The instant classic feature etc

Ehhhhhhh 5/10 Not being able to create a player to play with in dynasty kills it for me. Progression sucks in dynasty too. Recruited a 5 star WR and he came in with an overall of 68. My starting QB was a normal 4 star coming in at 74. Threw 54 tds his junior year and is only a 87 going into his senior year. The linemen progression is great. Skill player progression kind of stinks. Sim logic is weird. Georgia is a heavy run team but their QBs are throwing for almost 50tds a year. They haven’t had a QB do that in forever. Constantly have lower caliber teams in the championship. My first dynasty I was playing with Kennesaw St and UNT made it to the Natty and their QB won heisman.

Ran into some issues with injuries. If your player is out for the season the game only processes the number of week that are being advanced not the amount of time that is passing. So if it says out for season it really means 2 whole seasons.

I feel it’s a 6/10. It has some glaring issues. Yes it is fun, but it so irritating some times. The game doesn’t seem like a simulation to me. Seems arcade more to me. Yes I may not know football on that level but I have been studying anything and everything since this game came out. No one is signing up to personally help me get better. So I have to do it myself. Game is fun a lot but 6/10 ain’t gonna cut it. I’m waiting on that huge patch they talking about

I do agree with you regarding the main people complaining are the ones who have gotten away with Madden and it's Anti Realism. The guys that probably sat in Dollar Base Align against Heavy Formations and were never punished because Madden doesn't care about personnel or a DB being out leveraged because he is 7 yards in from the WR he's guarding after Base Aligning. You actually have to set your Pass Protection presnap and you have to know how to read a defense in order to consistently move the ball through the Air. Madden rarely punished you for making non football adjustments. I always said that competitive players are playing Madden, not Football. In CF25, you have to play Football, not Madden. The very fact that you have Football purists like Brett Kollman who has never once made a video on Madden do it for CF25 is indicative of such. Just from playing this game I've learned the difference between Scat, Jet and Empty Pass Protection. Nor have I had too much trouble on the defensive side being that I understand the rules of Pattern Matching Defenses such as Palms and Quarters.

Fam the only thing that Brett Kollman talked about was the new passing protection mechanic….That’s literally it….He didn’t talk about how the CPU QB ONLY throws bullet passes, not able to use the new revamped passing system….Didn’t touch on players still covering grass in zone, not chasing a scrambling QB & just watching them but when they pass the LOS, oh yea let me tackle them….Did he touch on not having 5-6 man gang tackle animations….Did he touch on not having reach sacks or CPU (that we can’t edit) not having power or finesse moves traits equipped already?? Nope….Did he touch on how the spin move is OP?? Did he talk about how fatigue is non existent in this game?? I don’t think he spoke on how the CPU calls the same exact plays (2nd/3rd & long is HB draws, HB screens, 4 verts, stick concepts, etc), no matter what school is playing….The CPU have a whole arsenal of plays but choose to run 10% of their playbooks, which makes it very predictable….He didn’t talk about how every QB is Tom Brady & never throws less than 90% (and those incompletions were knockouts or interceptions)….I could go on for days tbh….The gameplay is better than previous Madden (probably will be the same as Madden 25 tbh) but it’s lacking…. And the crazy thing is I’m 7-1 online (only loss was the first one & my homies wanted to play COD, so I quit)….4-1 against my homies, (lost by a FG w/ UCLA against MIA)….So I would say I’m decent at the game & Ima simulation style player….If you play the game long enough, we all know the limitations of the game & could exploit them….I choose not to cause I wanna use my cerebral ability to win 💯💯 Let’s just be honest though💯💯

The only thing that is game breaking to me is I need EA to fix is the bug in Dynasty where you cant customize your schedule with custom conferences. There are presentation/gameplay things that I want added or fix but I can be patient with that 8/10

The gameplay and on-field presentation is intoxicating for sure. That said, if you grew up playing NCAA games on Sega - PS - PS2 - & then PS3, this title misses the mark on so many levels. The pageantry is cool, but CFB games are about Dynasty mode at they F'd that up! In typical EA fashion, they removed many of the little nuances and features offered in past titles, and included (they didn't add sh!t) others that were introduced almost 20 years ago. The Stadium Pulse meter? (NCAA 2006), Coaching Carousel? (Multiple PS3 versions), Mo Bamba, which UNREALISTICALLY plays at almost every single f'ing school? (We had Custom Sounds for REAL team specific sounds in '13/'14). They did however REMOVE the ability to click triangle and view a matchup that showed team stats/rankings in those stats/their stat leaders/schedule. Click a button to view a player card and view their season stats, game stats, etc. Showing the season stats of Heisman leaders instead of their dumb ass abilities. Sim games one by one on the weekly schedule screen and be able to see box score and player stats... IMMEDIATELY, not after the entire week was simmed and advanced. And the very polarizing one of not being able to edit players of any kind, real or fictional (In almost EVERY SINGLE PAST NCAA TITLE). Yes, EA did a great job of bringing the pageantry of college football back to our lives but that is blinding people from the games' true state. It's flagship mode Dynasty (I didn't even get into RTG) is barren. Gameplay, although fresh, is similar to Madden with abilities, that they claimed wouldn't have as big of an affect as in Madden are op. And the most basic features which make Dynasty Mode what it is are missing. Facts are facts, if this was an annual release, EVERYONE would be PISSED. It's a fun and beautiful game, but it should have been much more.

4/10 everyone should be able to recognize the massive legacy issues that plague this game due to the frostbite engine. Also, every mode feels bare bones and dead. Gameplay is faster, and ball trajectory seems better??? Unfortunately, no patch will fix what plagues this game. Dynasty feels less in depth than franchise, road to glory is mid. This game is arcade, no simulation in sight. Juke moves are stupidly overpowered. I wish I could get a refund. You say value your dollar and that's the commitment I've made against EA since I bought Madden 12. I'll never buy the same game twice within 12 months. So even though this game is lacking most of what should have been in it, I won't be purchasing any EA game until either 2026 or 2027. $500+ million made from this game and in 11 months they'll start a new marketing campaign for the same game with a few added features but still not everything they know people on the EA forums or reddits have told them should be included or fixed. Call it College Football 26 and wa la, they'll make another $300 or $400 million if people don't start valuing their dollar.

@@acehg1410 the game isn't bad. It's just average. I believe the overwhelming majority of the gaming community expect above average games from triple A companies. CFB 25 is what it should be, especially not in 2024. Bugs and glitches are normalized now in games when they shouldn't be. Server issues are normalized now in games and they shouldn't be. So now they will spend time and resources on solving those issues instead of improving the quality of the game by catching the low hanging fruit. The small things that don't have any rhyme or reason take away from the quality of the game. Everyone knows player creation and customization is something many users covet in all sports games but they lock that out. Now I'm willing to bet that EA will either slowly leak those things back in or just fully open it up next version. But they were not blocked because of legal reasons and it's getting silly for people to keep claiming that. But the other small details of formation subs being available outside of the game so time doesn't have to be taken every game to use certain players in certain positions take away from the quality of the game. Having 7:30pm games being played under the bright sun takes away from the quality of the game. I don't play ultimate team but I can understand the frustration of not being able to use custom playbooks and understand how that takes away from the quality of the game. Every feature doesn't have to serve me to have value because every feature serves someone. I don't play UT or road to the playoff but I know the game only becomes more bland and average if those modes were cut from the game. The game would be better if there were more depth and more features because that's the case with all games that try to capture true to life experiences. The

And with the game being out for a couple weeks now, I’m sure it’s far exceeded expectations for EA. I can’t say customizing players isn’t bc of legal issues simply bc that’s why the game has been gone for 10 years. And I’m with you but we can’t control every single aspect of the game. I’ve played all 4 parts of the game. - CUT is hard to play NMS, because either you play against people that have invested A LOT or either none at all. - Road to CFP is great! The fact you can filter what tier of opponents you want to face is a game changing feature. - Dynasty: No cap, you gotta know football to really get the most out of that mode. This mode has the largest learning curve but biggest reward. - Road to Glory: This mode is dumb fun! My only genuine complaint is that the CPU QB (if you play HB or WR) ONLY throws bullet passes. Many times I’ve beaten my defender on a streak but the AI QB bullets it. So ofc it gets swatted down.

8/10 Dynasty is fantastic, not perfect but the hook of recruiting and improving your program is the best football dynasty I’ve ever played. Gameplay is much better than Madden. Need to add more uniforms, edit players more once they’re fictional, and they need to allow import into Madden with fictional players once the real ones are no longer in the game. What’s really important is that this game has soul to it, so it should give us great hopes for these games moving forward
