Hey everyone! I appreciate all of the support on this video, it's been insane and I truly am so grateful for all of it. With that being said, I've received a handful of comments asking me to cover more about Madden Mobile. Would you guys be interested in hearing my story of the community? I used to run an Instagram account for Madden Mobile (I had 13K followers at my peak; I was a custom card creator), and I was one of the OG's in the community (I joined December 2014). I have stories from so many different parts of Madden Mobile and the community, from knowing MMG and other big youtubers/accounts, to how it affected me personally and gave me a love for graphic design... and everything in-between. Madden Mobile feels so dystopian. Everything is inflated to make it seem so much bigger and better, when that's just the hollow shell what it's trying to grasp itself being. I miss MM16 so much too, one distinct memory younger was pulling some sort of Aaron Rodgers Road To the Playoffs card... I think, I can't find it online but I think that's what it was. Great video! Hopefully I see more from your channel in the future.

Awesome video man. The Madden Mobile community was always the thing that made the game as fun as it was. Taking out h2h game modes and the auction house made playing the game a more isolated experience. Classic EA, making one of the greatest mobile games ever and then ruining it with their greedy tendencies.

As a former creator of Madden Mobile content, this brings back a lot of memories. Man, I really do miss playing this game and making content on it. I played it longer than most people, I stopped playing and making constant content towards the end of 22. I keep praying that one year they'll just do a revamp of MM15-16. I've been saying for a long time, they needed to change things up to keep players engaged, I get that part. But, they didn't do it in the right way. It's been long enough, there's been enough advancements, they could totally bring it back in its simple form and it would work. Fantastic video man, I've thought about doing something like this but you did it much better than I ever would have. Hats off :)

To me, they really missed their opportunity in MM22 to do something meaningful. They were rebuilding the whole game from scratch and decided to double down on the restricted AH by removing it all together and making it a total gacha game.

Man, this vid is a banger. Another aspect that made MM15/16 so great was the KZbin community too. Guys like MMG, Slay, Ducky getting 100K+ subs from solely MM content in the 2016 YT era is crazy to look back on. My first 50 vids on this channel are pretty much all MM pack openings and shopping sprees trying to be like those guys - hype intro, trap instrumentals, high energy voiceover etc. Miss those times! i really appreciate it man. this game was a huge part of my life for a long time, and i made some core memories from it. this game developed my love for graphic design/content creation, so i wanted to make it right. i knew there were countless others like me who grew up with and loved this game just as much as i did, and i wanted to make sure that the golden years of madden mobile got the love and justice they deserved, because whatever EA is calling "Madden Mobile" nowadays is just pure garbage. it still boggles my mind how badly they fumbled this game.

Madden Mobile was one of those games that helped me make new friends in high school, it's the game that got me invested in real life football now as a 23 year old nearly a decade later. I'll never forget being in physics class comparing teams with this other kid Damien, and we'd always compete to see who had a better team. appreciate the support man, and yeah its crazy how hard this games fallen off. i was there during MM's prime days and saw it all firsthand, it's so sad how much its taken a hit over the years. from the price caps, removal of the auction house, inflated overalls, lack of creativity for promos, pack caps, not having all the rosters in the game.. whatever it may be, it feels like it's all gotten worse year by year. it sucks that EA just doesn't even care at all.

Wonderful video, definitely leaving on my favorites. When my 21 y/o self had to wake up at 5 AM and play some MM16 before taking a shower and going to the uni, and then come back home, do homework and play more MM16 while being F2P, I miss those days. And I absolutely forgot about Draft Champions from 18, I absolutely loved that mode with all my heart because I literally screamed internally whenever I get goat cards at the final rounds. 😢 PS: I’m glad I quit the game during the start of 20, before 21.

I remember for Christmas a decade ago at this point. I got a tablet with a bunch of downloaded games already on it. Madden mobile 14 was one of the pre downloaded games. I loved the franchise and head to head modes. The game got me into the NFL and made me a Falcons fan. I took a break during 16 because my tablet broke and I forgot about it, but I returned to 18 (which in my opinion is when franchise was the most fun.) and still loved the game. I absolutely hated what overdrive did getting rid of franchise and auctions. I've tried getting back into Madden mobile but the game really feels like a shell of itself.

The one thing that I hate with a fire passion, is that the sets over time become so hard to do for one card, it’s like you either sacrifice your entire binder for one card or have an binder of mid cards, and for ultimate team in general, theirs no like free grind for a great card, only for mid cards. I think if they had the program feature that MLB the show has for it’s mode, then ultimate team would be actually decent. So many EA scams everywhere in all their games. I remember that it took me 4 years to find the sets option because it feels like everything is hidden in the game hud.

Some memories from past Madden Mobile seasons: MM15: When that 96 Clay Matthews and Delanie Walker Final Editions were like 40-50k to buy until the season ended, those cards are budget beasts, instead of being used as a set piece on the 99 Joe Haden. MM16: When EA put out a set that let you turn 3 MVP or Captains to Position Heroes, i turned 3 90-91 Captains into a 99 Kawann Short Position Hero. Also tried my luck at the Final Edition using 5 gold trophies and pulled the 96 (97 on console) Terron Armstead MM17: When i was able to build 99 Jordan Reed, T.Y. Hilton, Haloti Ngata and Brian Cushing then selling one version of the Unsung Hero. That program that gave cards to non-playoff teams (or in case of teams that went 9-7, the ones that went to the 2017 playoffs). Then the sudden introduction of NFL Bosses, which gave supercharged versions of players that were dominant in their career and on a team in the 2016 season. MM18: 129 OVR defense, and the only affordable DTs that were able to do a top defense were the mover ones.

I really loved playing madden 18 and 20 the most they had the best gameplay imo so it made it a lot easier to grind all the live events and challenges while still having fun. Recently MMG posted a video answering people"s questions about the new College Football 25 game, and one thing he said is that with all the hype that game is getting after an 11 year hiatus, EA is putting a lot of effort into the game to make it really fun to play, which is expected to raise the standards for their Madden 25 release, especially since the CFB team and Madden team are close collaborators As someone who has fond memories of playing a lot of Madden Mobile during the 17 and 18 years, I am hoping that Madden Mobile 25 is also upgraded to make up for all the neglect the game has suffered from. Also since EA's most common criticism is for being too greedy and releasing the same game every year for easy billions instead of evolving, I hope this can have a ripple effect on the rest of the company, with CFB 25 being the spark they needed

I'm brazilian and I played for every top ranked brazilian league. It was so fun to count the points, wait till the final minutes to see you needed a FG or TD. I still have the pages keeping the score of every league player through out the week to see who would be send to the lowers leagues. What started to kill the game to me was the addition of schemes, making that not only you had to get good players, they had to be specific to the team. After that, it was the overalls. I stopped when it passed 125. Cards didn't mean anything any more. But I keep the good memories. cj prosise was my favorite hb, bryan hoyer was my first ever qb. Controling the lolb to get sacks. The plays I loved and were removed after each season... It was great while it lasted.

Don't know if we talking about the same thing here, but personally used to like to play those player vs. player games were both played their offensive drives. And every once in awhile you would run into a player who just spammed the same play over and over again, but back in the day you had a solution for that. As you could see the playes the opposing team had run and then on defense block one or maybe on later levels even 2 of their specific plays. And oh boy would have I loved to see my opponents face who were used to spamming the same play for TDs suddenly go 3 and out etc. 😂 But then they changed the game so that you needed to collect some really weak defensive scheme or whatever cards to improve your defense and those one play spammers just dominated. That is when I quit the game for good. 😢

MM15-18 were my entire childhood man. I remember grinding 24/7 as a kid, falling in love with football, and watching MMG all the time. They could literally just put Madden 16 mobile back on the App Store with modern players and it would be the top selling mobile game. I miss old Madden mobile so bad, I’d do anything to go back to these days man.

Good video, man those were the days. I remember all the way back when I played Madden 12 Mobile where UT wasn’t even a thing back in their mobile games yet and you could actually run a franchise and stuff. I then played Madden 13 social and although the gameplay was bad, I still had fun as a kid showing off my rare and legendary cards to my friends at school. I stopped playing after 17 because when I started growing up I started to realize how cash grabby EA became with their Madden Mobile games and it’s sad to see that it has somehow gotten worse, smh.

@@veryBerryTV In 2021 the game became copy and paste, for like 3 years they used the same formats and same base card art (not just the same shape the same exact background) It was only this year that the card art somewhat changed and the menus and promo formats are still identical to 2021.

When Madden overdrive 19 came in after 18,17,16 I gave up on it is because of lack of animation, money hungry that the devs throw everything, I lost everything that I collected player cards, jerseys, custom stadiums everything I haven't touched a mobile game from nfl since, plus today It wasn't the same anymore, they simply focus on microtransactions

This is such a trip. I used to make madden mobile videos lmao. Create custom cards. Made so many friends that I talked to for years following quitting the game. The community was so dope. Unlike any game i’ve ever experienced before. I remember packing the ultimate legend calvin johnson in mm15 and being so hyped about it i posted it on instagram lol. I remember being so pissed i missed the Kam Chancellor glitch lmfao. The sets were sick. Even the trophies. The community. They hype around it. EA completely killed this game the moment they removed the auction house and expanded OVR to 100+. Great video. Appreciate the thorough research and touching on the instagram community. The pictures of the card arts by year is super nostalgic. Promos and programs I completely forgot about that I now recall grinding weeks for. Did the game more justice than EA deserves.
