That's a sweet engine for a first run! Love the retro spinner!

Enjoyed the video , one thing for you have to have plenty of patients to fool with a fox carburetor ! Once during a factory tour , I was asked by Duke Fox what I thought of his engines , I told him he had a real strong engine and a crappy carburetor as he looked at me he said , tour is over ! Keep up the good work !!!

Based. First thing you do with those is throw out the carb.

Nice review David..love mt foxes..I have an O.S. ggt 10 nib...directions say the low speed controls the high speed settings.this is a gas engine not glow with the g5 plug ,it got really bad reviews but Brian wench in Australia praised it for it not needing extra batteries for the ignition...I will send to you if interested at my cost to and from..let me know...rock on dude!!!

Good job David. I have always had great results and performance with my Fox engines.

Have some Fox engines lying around, need to try them. Nice video 🙃

Good job. Runs like a Fox. Keep the idle around 400 that will help.

Nice run. Thought you might run the pinch test on the fuel line at low rpm to help determine if it is lean or rich. Nice running engine. Thanks for another great review. Nice to see it is warming up.
@dmrcflyr211 ай бұрын
The pinch test is not effective in 2 stroke engines. I only use it on 4 strokes.

Maybe this year I have to finally build a better stand and get some of mine running again, as well as getting back into flying. Here in Germany there was a period where they changed the rules basically every few weeks and a lot of discussion how to integrate all into the new european airspace rules, which pretty much killed my interest for a while, especially when it looked bad. Apparently this has been sorted out by now, to a pretty satisfying result .. so ..

fox motors are little power houses. thats a good runner you have there.

I've never had any Fox engines but the 15 and 30 control line engines and I've never ever started the 30 and still have it in the box in my utility building if you ever see anyone who can use it I would give it to them just for the shipping charges because I just fly RC planes now but I started flying with Cox control line way back in the early seventies!

Low end is definitely lean, soon as you try to get it up off idle it falls on its face.
