Way before I started my experiments with psychedelics the mantra 'I invite magic into my life' was with me. And it worked. Every time. Psychedelics opened up a completely new dimension for me. Which reality is more relevant? I'm not so sure! What I'm sure of is that if these experiments don't bring more kindness, compassion and love into my life...they're just another entertaining distraction. Which is fine - but would mean missing the whole potential of these amazing medicines. Without a strong mind there's not much to let get of - and it's easy to get lost.

I think people get way too lost in trying to get others to validate their magic, and in doing so they strip all the magic out of it.

The simulation theory is a pervasive meme. Unfortunately it got past a lot of people's conscious defences and became believed by the subconscious, hence they consciously experience it as being a reality when they lower the veil between conscious and subconscious.

I've been following this closely and made the set-up myself. You can't do it with any laser, it's needs to be 650nm refracted laser with a cross beam. I bought this and a battery pack for less than a 10er. I've yet to try it properly but aim to give it a go with friends this weekend. I think you should give it a good test and then update us. Like I said in the video, I don't think you need ANY laser at all. Seeing "code behind the veil" is an extremely common psychedelic phenomenon, so if it can happen without a laser... then do you actually need the laser?

@@AdeptusPsychonautica from what I've read, they've done tests and something like 300 people have observed this. This includes researchers from the DMTx project. Given that you've made a video on it and this is catching people's attention, is it not worth trying for yourself and sharing your experience? There were a few things in the video that sounded incorrect although I'm not here to pick it apart but I'd like to see you take a closer look. I've not seen it myself (haven't tried) but a few I know have and it's supposed quite impressive. If you're conclusions are correct then fair play, but for you to be 💯 then you'll need to try it before concluding?

I've investigated this myself and found the pixelated effect gave an interesting effect but nothing more. In truth I've seen a far better effect whilst viewing our carpet or even the curtains, and other speckled surfaces. To claim this to be anything more than this being an interesting effect i.e. "this changes everything" is ludicrously extravagent at best and making certain corners of our community appear as thoroughly ungrounded and IMO downright silly. How can our community be taken seriously by the medical profession, lawmakers, politicians, the general public if such claims become common.

And of course not only Mrs Minty but one single serious scientist will do anything other than distance themselves from this chap and his crackpot theories because not only do they receive approaches like this daily, they also know full well that he's fallen into the old "woo woo" psychedlics trap and their credibility would be destroyed overnight. I also believe any other platform or utube channel that contributes to his publicity is also risks of losing credibility. Are you aware I've booted two Discord members (perhaps the same person) for continually promoting this bloke and his videos. Believe it or not they both finally admitted that his video was clickbait, but one justified it by saying he was a "cool dude" and the other said it was ok to have clickbait because "he's only trying to build his channel". Perhaps that say a lot about the logical reasoning ability of his fans.

I’ve found that some of the lower doses sharpen light on objects with geometric edges and lines. Normal objects can become more angular. I had the same effect as Dan while watching a Lovemotives meditation video. The video was travelling through clouds and stars. Those clouds became an ancient language being shown to me and I was breath taken. After the trip I started linking the video and telling friends what I saw. So on one hand I witnessed characters I had never seen before and on the other hand, I was tripping balls so who really knows 😂🙏

i was peaking on lsd and found like a ''secret languege'' on the toilet , it was like an asian languege at first , then changed in an arabic like languege, what i thought was that all langueges say the same things and if we are lost in words we loose the meaning they were build to give . We all experience the same things in different ways.. that was the insight i got . Yeah when I went to my first ayahuasca retreat in the jungle, it was common for people to "get lost" sitting on the toilet, and they would often report seeing occult hieroglyphics pour down from the walls of the wooden cubicles which they would spend hours gazing at. basic interference patterns in a laser does look like some alien symbols on dmt, but so it can look like anything else. I like to think if I want to find proof for any idea, I will, especially on psychedelics. The amount of people I know and have met, mostly purely logical ones, especially back-end programmers or analysts who tend to see numbers and "matrix code" on most psychedelics especially tryptamines is too damn high :D I really like your take on this, goes very well together with my experiments and observations on this. Yes I think its part of the whole mindset part of set and setting. I also work in IT and so a lot of my trips have a very structured orderly vibe to them, but then I got the Amazon and start soaking up that mindset and within a few days im in the primordial soup of bottomless consuming chaos... which is nice 🙂

No one can convince me that DMT is not showing us some fundamental truth to reality. All my experiences on high doses show me that the universe is a running algorithm. Now with this said I am not implying that we are a simulation running on an advanced civilizations computer, just that fundamentally, the universe is a information processing system of subsets of information processing systems. Something I also find interesting is how recent advancement in AI and psychedelic phenomenon seem to be pointing at the same thing.. that intelligence is a by-product of big data information processing. So, if the universe and its properties/processes can be described using math, and math + time = data, the universe must then..be intelligent BTW, I am a software developer/data engineer

Having the same exxact situation but in an opposite manner. My experiences are usually very organic, a lot of snake-like structures, and just hanging couple of days around really smart mathematicians, I started seeing "the code/formula of nature everywhere" that made perfect sense. We all "seen it" but this was different because I could find math formulas to describe it. Similar stuff happens when tripping around coders, etc. I truly believe that tripping with "smart people" (however you choose to define smart) is probably one of the most useful things about psychedelics. A lot of power into mind, beliefs, set and setting and people you're doing it with. Our biases also tend to play a huge role in "revelations/discoveries" and double-checking them can be very useful. Bigger comsic giggles happening from realizing your own "attachment, stupidity" with the ideas you think are "the truth" on psychedelics, than actually receiving "the truth". @williamstamp5288 I more or less agree with you in that the universe is a sequence of interacting events that could theoretically be captured by some kind of algorithm, and I have even had experiences that each object or identity within the universe is basically the answer to a query. For example - what is the outcome of a human being with the characteristics of Rob? Well lets run the process and find out...and here I am 🙂 This then takes us down some very interesting avenues relating to free will, I might have to do a video on that when I am feeling more intellectual.

The interesting thing about the laser is when you notice the grain moves with the eyes, not with the laser. The dots in the grain exist outside of the”outside reality”, they exist in the cones or whatever in your eyes. Most interesting sober visual effect imo

Thanks for an interesting explanation/interpretation of this phenomenon. Will check out your other channel regarding the hidden language experienced in psychedelic states. Past experiences whilst on breakthrough doses of substances allowed me to witness what seemed like ancient Sumerian characters that were glowing and moving around the inside rim of a 44 gallon drum used as a fire place. The vision was shared with a close friend who was also in an altered state. Something that I pondered whilst engaging in your content was the potential of this “code” experienced whilst looking at the laser refraction to be interpreted this way because of its artificial origin. Perhaps the coding in the photon energy emitted by the laser is indicative of its unnatural source? Would natural light (sunshine) cause the same effect? Likewise with LED or incandescent light sources. Something to ponder some more and perhaps experiment with during the next altered state of awareness.. If reality and our perception of it is a mirror of our psychical mind, are we seeing “computer code” because that’s what is recognisable given our current understanding; or are we capable of existing within a simulation? Absolutely! Last time I was in Peru at an ayahuasca retreat, I went to the bathroom in the middle of the ceremony and looked up. It was the clearest night, pitch black over the canopy of the Amazon in the middle of nowhere, the milky way clearly visible overhead like I have never seen before, totally different constellations from the northern hemisphere, and the stars just looked divine. It was the most magnificent thing I have ever witnessed

Great video. What you describe as localized experience, I've experienced something different once. I was on 11g of mushrooms, and I managed to go and find some Light Language transmissions. They were accompanied with these images with written light language on them. And what happened blew my mind. Because the image started moving as you described, but then became "3D" and expanded into the entire room and my entire reality. BUT, here is the crazy part. It only happened while the audio of the light language was playing. The moment the audio stopped, the whole room went back to normal and the image static again. Then I would play a different transmission from the site (It was something called StarMagic), and then I would stare at a inanimate picture, and as soon as I would start the audio with the light language, it would start moving and expanding beyond the screen, and I would feel all sorts of things within my body. And also my forhead (At the third eye spot), was magnetically connected to the center of the screen as it was happening. It was really wild haha! Yeah its a great phenomenon! I have had similar things using simple projections of things like squares, which then as the psychedelic kicks in will become a cube, then a tesseract, then that object will begin to exist independently of the surface it is being projected onto, then at some point then the boundary between myself and the object will begin to disappear and the object will exist inside my consciousness, which is also existing in other dimensions. It can get pretty wild just from a simple square 🙂

It seems to me you can see code, language and movement in literally anything you look at on strong enough psychedelics. I see faces in trees, clouds, water, fire. I even talk to it as if it truly were beings teaching me and hell it might even be. But I don't lay that down as pure fact or something that proves anything to anyone else except myself because it's a personal perception and I could be completely wrong. Unfortunately, I've never had the occasion of dmt, but have seen behind the curtain, only to find a different curtain. An interestingly similar phenomenon, is that old televisions, when tuned off channel, would show random static that is actually caused by the CMB. In the 90's some friends and I would consume LSD occasionally, and watch VHS or play Nintendo. Back then television stations would sign-off at 2 or 3 am... leaving this 'static' and we swore we could see patterns in the chaos. Mostly swirls and 'snakes' or sometimes 'alien' characters, and very rarely a continuous vague scene. We didn't know what the CMB was at the time, or it may have seemed even more mind blowing.

It depends on how much you take. At the lower doses talked about in Dan's video then we aren't talking about full blown visions based on emotions, but rather enhancements to what is already present. The influence which you mention isn't present, actually is. The laser is projecting a pixelated pattern on the wall which is influencing what people see, even more so if they are being primed to look for numbers in the pixels.

The visual acuity is just astounding! P.S. Felix Colgrave's videos are worth watching while tripping. Just be sure to vet 'em beforehand. "Flying Bamboo" and "Throat Notes" are safe IMO, but some of the others get intense.

Does anyone else ‘see the air’ when on DMT. For years I’ve always liked seeing the bending of the ‘air’ around ceiling lights. Recently I made a DMT vape and started looking at this more closely. It’s hard to describe what I see except that there is an almost invisible, translucent/holographic 3D membrane - made up of ‘cells’ like a honeycomb or 3D spiderweb. You have to come at it from oblique angles to allow the structure to be visible. If the lighting conditions are just right you can ‘zoom in’ on the structure. Within each cell are increasingly small cells. In the ‘walls’ of the cells I can see movement along lines that look for all the world like blood cells flowing through vessels or capillaries. The flowing material appears to be digital in nature - like data - and has a distinct buzz. The complexity is mind boggling, but made up of repeatable polygonal shapes. This is repeated exactly every single time I have a small hit. Not even enough to get other visuals. If this is a construct of only my brain I’ll be amazed…. Anyone else seen this?!!!!!

Yep. This is exactly why I showed this video to you - in my opinion, you're the most grounded youtube psychonaut out there. I absolutely agree that the conclusions he's jumped to are hyperbolic and it's a shame he's dressed what seems a very interesting phenomenon in those clothes. The reason I was so interested in his claims over the myriad of other claims out there in cyberspace was the fact that he's claiming widespread corroboration. On a recent podcast he said that over 200 people that he's aware of have now tried this and have seen exactly the same thing and he also says that anyone that tries it out will immediately know that the effects are something more than the effects that we already know and love. He's also saying that the main reason for him putting it out there is that he's hoping some serious researchers will be prepared to perform some sort of study to test his claims which could quickly put it to rest. Other than that, I do think it's something that I can't simply dismiss before at least trying it myself first. Now, where did I put that laser? I'm sure it's here somewhere...

I think that the effect points - as do many other like effects - towards a larger truth; but one which doesn't answer to the constraints of simulation theory. I do enjoy that he is employing methodology here, and producing relevant content. We need more of that in this community (which is exactly why I started a research group). I don't even think it's the responsibility of the psychonaut to stay perfectly grounded. In fact, I think that this is an arena where delving into the wildly speculative is inherently necessary. However, we need to take a step back when drawing hard conclusions - and then presenting them as such. There does appear to be ample opportunity with DMT to access informational constructs which bear uniformity over a range of subjects, and that is testable and repeatable. However, I don't think that constraining them to tropes like "simulation theory" do them any real justice. That seems like a waypoint on a four dimensional construct - with a map on the currently visible facet. Misleading, oversimplified, and unsuitable for staking a flag on and calling it resolved. Again - I want to reiterate for his sake if he reads this: I appreciate his ideas and efforts. You don't have to be wrong to not be right...

I would agree that psychonauts should not be constrained, but I think that's different to staying grounded. I have sat with groups of psychonauts having completely "out there" conversations about everything from UFO's to all encompassing fields of consciousness, yet our feet are still on the ground and we are not beginning to deceive ourselves. To say that this laser light thing PROVES simulation theory, and that it is the ONLY explanation requires an element of self-deception, or in simpler terms - being ungrounded.

I think once you get past a certain level of boundary dissolution then art becomes maths becomes quantum-physics becomes sex becomes martial-arts... basically art is live, and everything is art 🙂

Why would it be surprising that certain wavelengths of light elicit different effects? This is common knowledge. A black light will reveal different visual properties, which again when combined with psychedelics will induce interesting effects. Lets try and dial down some of your more whimsical thinking 1. No-one is denying that there is something interesting happening with this specific configuration of laser, but the root cause of the effect itself (when separated from magical thinking) is well understood. Like you yourself describe - its a specific wavelength of light, and different wavelengths are perceived differently. Congratulations on debunking your own argument. 2. Beyond your grandiose claims, there is no way of knowing if people have actually seen the same thing. Can they draw it and compare notes? Is the sequence recordable? There is zero evidence for any of these claims of "everyone see's the same thing". If I'm wrong then feel free to send me the evidence and I will do a full retraction - sounds fair right? 3. The claim that "the only explanation is a simulation" is completely absurd. You know it, I know it, and ACTUAL psychedelic researchers know it. Laser beams have a fairly unique look , so it doesn't surprise me that if you took DMT or even other psychedelics that you'd see something a bit different from the usual visuals. I've never taken DMT, but I have acid and mushrooms many times and that is the kind of thing, what Dan says about lasers on DMT, that I take them for to maybe have an experience where you are shown that kind of thing, and it certainly happens fairly regularly for me. I guess I am a very visual person, so even on light doses I get some pretty startling illusions, visual effects and visions. Maybe Dan gets more of a headspace type trip usually and it took a laser to trigger some of the deeper more coherent visual aspects apart from geometrics and tracers and enhanced depth and colors. I quite routinely see things that look like writings in alien or unknown lost civilization alphabets or hierglyphs, complete with bizarre diagrams and perhaps math proofs, it really does look like someone somewhere is very sophisticated and knows exactly what they are talking about, its one of my favorite things actually, and it gets me pretty excited, it's a bit disapointing when I don't see those kinds of things appearing in a mirror or the side of a mountain. If I were a highly skilled artist I would definitely be trying to render that kind of thing as a topic for a painting or video or what have you. Personally I don't like lasers, I always worry that they'll damage my eyes, so maybe i am not the man to ask about this at the end of the day, I doubt I would be motivated to try it out.

When I did DMT I was on my own. I tried to get 3 large sucks. Hard work. I didn't see anything until I opened my eyes and I had green numbers going up my arms and my hands had bright pink and blue hexagons on it. I tried it again the next day exactly the same. So i was completely on board with you until i watched Dans more lengthy video on this. By no means am I saying he's right. In fact, it reminds me of terrance mckenna. Dennis mckenna, his brother said that while terrance was brilliant, he let the psychadelics start to derail and unground him from reality. To which he began coming up with these crazy theories. BUT...i have this question for you. What is your take on everyone seeing the same thing in certain spaces. Dan claims anyone can see it, and everyone sees the same thing. Sure this could point to something in our brains that causes a mimicing reaction while under the influence...but you have to admit its intriguing. He describes the same thing without me saying anything. I later looked it up and found out many others have seen it to. My answer to your question is - the pattern thing is a given, its not a discovery. Just like you describe with your own experience, then you looked at some source of visionary input (the sky) and you saw some kind of pattern (the net) and many people will report something similar (Indras net). Look in the fire on LSD and you will see fire spirits, look into a lava lamp and you will see faces in the wax blobs. Surely the common sense response is to acknowledge the basic thing that every psychonaut knows - psychedelics DRASTICALLY alter how you perceive things, or I guess we could start smashing open all the lava lamps to free the trapped souls 🙂

There are tons and tons of clues and references to living in a computer simulation by watching the testimonies of the NDE Near Death Experiencer videos. These people have not done DMT or psychedelics to see this, either. Some say that DMT is the back door to go in and see (or fix) the mainframe of how it's put together, like how computers have to have a back door to get in. I think you missed Dan's point here (and also in the interview). His claim that reality is a simulation was more like the catch phrase. The main point was to establish an objective way to show experimentally and repeatedely, that at least some aspects of the subjective dmt experience points to an objective, measurable aspect. Which of course would be a huge achievement and therefore make "silly" assumptions like the simulation more plausible. Your claim, that this is not significant and could be achieved without a laser seems like you talk only about the subjective experience, which of course could be possible without the laser, but by itself is insignificant. The key ingredients are the repeatable setup, low dose and many people reporting seeing exactly the same. To verify, people would need to write down or draw the symbols, which doesn't seem to be the case for now as far as i know. But it is very interesting and worthy of attention, until proven otherwise.

The songs played during the experience usually reflect what's going on in your life in the moment and hidden meanings are revealed. The music also syncs up with your environment in ways one wouldn't believe. At higher doses can even get control of the music in your head once you figure it out being able to rewind and pause like a human KZbin player.. Insane stuff

Ok so this guy has stumbled upon quantum effects and confused them with DMT effects. He's doing a version of the double slit experiment. He's seeing laser photons that are both particle and wave interference patterns. Quantum effects essentially suggest the same conclusion however: that this is not "actual reality" and much more like a holographic recreation overlaid on actual reality.

I'm not sure Dan is even making the claim that everyone see's the same code and sequence, and if he is then that should be a fairly easy thing to prove. Just get two people in different locations to draw the same sequence and they should match - easy win for him. Having read both of Andrew Gallimore's books, and spoken to him in person on this channel then what he says is NOTHING like what Dan is saying.
