What even is hyperspace, and why do we use it to describe the psychedelic experience that results from vaped DMT?
In this video I unpack the origins of the word Hyperspace, look at how its used in popular culture, and relate it back to the realm of DMT with its entities, impossible geometry, and life changing experiences.
Also - I'm writing a book called "The Hitchhikers Guide to Hyperspace", and if you would like to that or my work here on KZbin then you can do so through the links below

This sounds awesome! Is it going to have a section on how to mentally prepare for the journey, or how do you know when youre ‘ready?’ To expand on your analogy, ive become fairly adept at navigating through mental worlds at ‘relativistic speeds’ but have yet to make the full jump to ‘hyperspace.’ When i do, i want to make sure its the ‘Contact’ version and not the ‘Event Horizon’ one ;)

Psychedelics are the reason why i didn’t take my life when i was at my end. I was stripped of my ego and saw the beauty of life and interconnectivity and even though i still battle anxiety and depression, I’m doing better everyday and will never think in such a self destructive way again.

LSD and mushrooms completely changed my whole outlook on life. I became a better version of myself This experience gave me a lot of confidence about my self and my body. A bunch of bad thought / behavior patterns were broken. One of these was pretty bad OCD that made me wash my hands a lot. It gave me a lot of hope that things will be fine, this is the one thing that I heard throughout the trip: Everything is alright. The main reason for the trip was my severe depression and it definitely helped me (although it's not gone). Before all I could do was lay in bed. Now I am trying to rebuild my life one step at a time which wasn't possible before."

Wow okay I love this whole thing…I’ve always been fascinated about the nature of hyperspace (I actually made a video discussion about it last year) I just had a recent trip where I had an experience with consciousness field manipulating, telepathic communicating, hyperspace residing aliens…okay I take a rational approach and I’ll admit I don’t know what’s going on, but my perception is that these highly advanced extraterrestrials had traveled through this higher dimension of consciousness, consciousness is fundamental to reality in a way that we don’t fully understand yet, like it’s the fabric underlying all of spacetime, but they were highly intelligent and highly evolved and possessed this consciousness technology so advanced that it goes beyond what we even consider technology…they had engineered themselves to exist in hyperspace, like how evolution has engineered us to exist the way we do…anyway I haven’t finished the video yet, but I’m too excited to wait to comment. The book your working on “The Hitchhikers Guide to Hyperpsace” is probably the coolest book title I’ve ever heard of.

Glad you enjoyed it mate! Yeah what you describe is quite close to the premise of Contact (great movie, go see it if you haven't already). I really like this idea of DMT as a piece of technology which allows communication between all conscious systems, across the whole universe. It kinda solves the problem of how would we communicate with beings so different and so far away from ourselves - well we could do it in a specifically created channel of consciousness 🙂 Of course that is just me having some fun with the concept, and its something I will be going into more detail on in the book.

I had studied quantum physics for 10+ years before my DMT breakthrough experience. Calabi yau space time, quantum fields & string theory all seem to have partial explanations for what i experienced. If you have time, I recommend taking a look at some of the physicists animations visualizing "quantum fields" and "calabi yau manifolds". I feel that spirituality and science are starting to merge and consciousness is also a field that we are tapping into/creating in each moment.

Yes! I saw it from 0 to idk how many dimensions; and in between them(in the fractal ones) just like a calabi yau manifold structure, but with a reminiscence of the interstellar tesseract. It's probably just the abstract concepts we had to work with, the abstract concept was triggered and we saw it in the way our brain could beat interpret it based on prior knowledge I know it's not an objective truth(specially coming from an abstract subjective experience) because I also see many tetrahedra-like "atoms" that are supposedly the bricks spacetime is made out of, but represented geometrically It's like a regular tetrahedra with a calabi yau "ball" spinning furiously in many more directions than should be possible in 3d These abstract concepts are literal abstract manifestations of cognitive resonance, which is why I see non duality in terms of black holes and infinities. I like the philosophy of physics and its relation to counciousness and all that, but we can't just assume we're seeing something objective Psychedelics DO help us come up with outrageously creative ideas and we can use them to start formulating a verifiable hypothesis, but never as evidence. (Maybe check out my public playlists on physics, you might even wanna create one of your own to handpick the videos you're most interested in, there's too much and some random BS videos too) Theories of everything are a flawed idea, physics is about models. the true nature of reality is philosophy (I got that from my college professors themselves) Every quantum physics interpretation is equally valid(kinda), you might've already seen how Copenhagen=Everett's , but it's about the philosophy of information, and about semiotics applied to models/data collecting. Check out how the uncertainty principle was derived form George Pierce's semiotics, and you'll see how it is the only scientific theory about quantum mechanics, even the schroedinger equation is just one valid model we found. Interpretations don't matter for how QM works, but it matters for how we understand and think about it, for example, it's *ONE* variable to turn Copenhagen into Quantum Mysticism, which is an explanation for the "collapse" of the wavefunction, which Copenhagen leaves as an open question which Quantum Mysticism fills in with bullshit. Interpretations are storytelling, not objective data from reality itself, but abstract "data" we as humans subjectively process as information True reality is a mess of entangled fields in some kind of structure out of which spacetime and the laws of physics emerge out of. We can't ever objectively know it, but who knows, maybe the DMT perception experience could help our brains to build a pretty accurate model After all, pseudo-objective information is still pretty solid even if slightly convoluted by uncertainty, and there is some kind of real information coming inside our brains and then perceived by us subjectively as an abstract (visual) concept, but relating that to spacetime/nature of reality is another step entirely and it should be treated more like an inspiration than a revelation. Spiritually is also a state of being, it's about being awestruck, like Sagan used to say(as well as "The cosmos is also within us, we are made out of star stuff, We are a way for the cosmos to know itself" and "We who embody the local eyes, and ears, and thoughts, and feelings of the cosmos[...] Are Star stuff contemplating star stuff") We are the universe contemplating itself, that's everything. Every myth, mystical hypothesis, scientific theory or what gives, is simplifying the trivial yet infinitely complex state of being(which is just to be, the way things are as they happen in of itself ) into abstract concepts that helps our brains navigate around these concepts, everyone has a different abstract space than others even of the objective information in the shared reality is the same, information is different inside brains and different between brains. Which is also why most of this might(probably will) not even make sense to you But I hope some of it gets through and goes through the """eye-brain"""barrier condensing into a plausible concept, not the concept I tried to talk about, but your interpretation of my words, if that makes any sense at all. Sorry for all the verbosity and the length of the comment, wish I could blame the weed but I'm just like this.. Nice to know someone else could see something similar to what I've seen too

I got there on Ayahuasca (the ego death lasted a full week, which was blissful, but then it abruptly came back one morning when my body was waking up and that was the most terrifying experience I've ever been through.) I saw as the "tesseract" was opened, and then closed when spacetime started to recrystallize back into the standard human perception of it. I could hear the dmt tone go higher in pitch, it started dimensionless, then it got higher and it was like an old crt tv turning on(a dot, a line, noise, then abstract patterns), it kept getting higher and there was a black flash, and then it got more dimensions, it'd get higher and higher, but in a staircase illusion pattern so it was like it was breaking through infinity itself. when I had to behave as a human, I drank water and then I became a prehistoric jawless fish which evolved through millions of generations till it became "me". It was like being born by entering a save-file. but I couldn't feel human, it didn't make sense to me how other people were just playing the part of human with such ease, when I could look at the fire and see our ancestors as of the fire was a portal to the past.. how can they accept so easily the idea of being a hairless upright-balancing mammal with existential delusions of identity and such(magical) complicated emotions, thoughts, and feelings? there's so much more to this story, sadly I barely remember any of it(I still do remember a lot more than what I've already shared); if anyone wants more details just ask, I'll gladly share

Oh my goodness what an incredible journey you underwent, reminds me of an experience 8nhad at the peak of a psychotic episode I had in my youth, seeing the formation of our planet, speeding through time and drinking the vast cooling oceans as an observer of the pre primordial imprint of life and the moment of conception of single cellular life that first touched down in reality. Very cool, well not for me it was actually terrifying at the time, I wasn't ready for what I was experiencing. Not at all. Here's me now 20 years later desperately and anxiously trying to get back there using these incredible molecule's.

Awesome video! I’ve smoked DMT once before, but I burned it all and nothing much really happened. It’s hard to find it so lately I’ve been seriously considering extracting my own, getting an e-mesh, vape or something like that to make it easier if I do it solo and just fucking go for it. I’d get a trip sitter, but most people I know don’t understand dmt and all that and I’d rather have no trip sitter than a bad one that doesn’t understand dmt or would freak out and unintentionally make my trip worse. I’ve been really wanting to take the plunge for real this time, but I’m pretty nervous. Because I know there’s nothing I could possibly do to prepare for that experience. I’ve had bad experiences on other psychs before and taking a serious psych dose of anything much less DMT isn’t no small feat. But it’s content like this from more experienced psychonauts that helps me begin to wrap my head around what I’d be in store for on the other side. I’ve heard horror stories, but I’ve also heard unimaginably beautiful stories. Either way, I just know I have to breakthrough at least once before I die. Whether it’s a good or bad experience. That’s just the kind of person I am. Thanks for all the educational content and your book sounds awesome!! I’d definitely read it. Hopefully when I breakthrough one day it’ll have a lasting positive impact on me. If it’s scary during the trip, hopefully it’s bitter in the mouth but sweet in the belly during integration. I can appreciate that some aspects of society look dystopian, but try to remember that what you are calling society is a tiny fraction of what is going on in the world. Its just the part that is getting amplified out by the news and reacted to on social media, but when you actually get out of the cities and experience the world for what it really is, then you can see that its just one perspective, and the world is actually pretty fucking amazing. @@so_k_rat_es__society3118 The short answer would be mind. When infinite consciousness is viewed through mind, that is to say, when thought refracts the infinite into a multiplicity of form, we get what is perceived as a world of subject-object relationship. First must be the 'I' in order for there to be a 'you' or 'other'. Yet, all things and forms arise in, are made of and borrow their existence from consciousness/awareness itself. So, you could say it's simply the activity of awareness.

When it comes to DMT specifically, is there real and genuine insights, documented, in science or technology for example which came under the influence of DMT ? I am talking here of something which makes a difference, something which makes a difference. I recognize the great creativity in science fiction and fiction that might come from such experience, especially for people already into writing or images, but my question here is about somehting that could be an alleged share information with "entities" as it is often described. Some people believe these entities are symbols/archetypes/deep level of projections of the psyche, other believe that they are real autonomous mind with an agency and intellligence of their own...but where are the irrefutable proof ? Where are the big infos coming for such minds which would be real breakthrough not attributable to sole human capabilities ?

Do you mean that it is what is actually there, and that what we perceive as reality is like the fake footage we would insert over the top of the green screen?
@Saturnarium
@Saturnarium Жыл бұрын
@@AdeptusPsychonautica Exactly this. My two cents is that what we call "reality" here in 3d matrix is whatever is projected in the green screen. What we see in the hyperspace is the "real screen" and what we see here is the "inserted background". But, an alternate possibility: the hyperspace might be just a different projection that seems more sophisticated in technology, but still a projection, the green screen is still behind it... who knows. Just a random thought.

The "hyperdrive machine" in the movie Event Horizon and Contact seemed to be modeled after the "Ophanim" depiction from the Bible. in Ezekiel 1:15-21-from the bible. "According to Ezekiel’s narrative in the Bible, they are creatures created of interlocking gold wheels, with the exterior of each wheel covered with many eyes."

99 percent of DMT trips are beautiful, magnificent, and benevolence supreme. But that 1 percent can be horrific, nightmarish, and utter Hell. So it's hilarious that you briefly include the Event Horizon description that encapsulates that, and move on from it quickly. 🤣

What if they mirror the inner workings of your mind rite back at you in order to make it a distant thing that's untouchable, when in reality it's been in you from the moment you form consciousness. A magician is a story teller, and the story is his spell, the magic words are those that are necessary to guide your mind into the images and emotional charge the magician seeks 👈💯. There is no outer space, only inner space🙃.

I would disagree with the premise that you aren’t an observer of your DMT trip. No matter where you are in the universe, you are an observer as far as I’m concerned. It is very intense and with such detail, but at the end of the day we are all observers. This helps me through trips, at the very least.

I really don't like using physics language in DMT and other psychedelic discussions. It's a drug. It offers important and useful insights into our own experiences and thought processes, similarly to psychological research. But it offers nothing in explanatory power about the physical world outside our heads. It would be so much more helpful if we called it "hyper experience" rather than "hyper space". Great video, thanks.
@AdeptusPsychonautica
@AdeptusPsychonautica Жыл бұрын
I think the word "space" existed long before the discipline of physics was even invented, and the term "hyperspace" was invented by a science fiction writer, so nothing was borrowed from physics. If anything physics has borrowed the language of the imagination.

Why is it so fequently used? Peer pressure, and lack of reading. Vast majority of people in general, and people who trip are no different, have a very narrow, limited vocabularies. So they repeat words they say here, on KZbin.

@@damirregoc8111 nope, I am aware of the mechanism for how language propagates through a population, and to attribute the selection method to peer pressure and lack of reading is absurdly reductionist.

@@AdeptusPsychonautica Well, nope righ back at you. What is it then, if not that? The substantial truth of it? The entities told you all it's called "hyperspace"? There's a hyper-map of it, with the title: "Hyperspace"? I say lack of reading, because if people would read more, I assume they might have a wider selection of words and terms to chose from, so we would see more originality, instead of constant repetition of common places that we have now. I might be wrong on that, they would maybe just form a few different niches, different language pockets, with- again- all the same terms and titles. Peer pressure: I got kicked out of couple Facebook groups, because I dared not to use the proscribed language. Then I made my own group, and got aggressively attacked again, for making a comment where I refused to use the world "jester". Peer pressure is real, and psychonaut "community" (quotation marks, because it's not really a community) is not immune to it, or less prone to use it than any other community or "community".

I have secured some dmt sone 2 months ago and I can't seem to get my courage up to make the jump. I've done shrooms and acid but dmt feels like a whole other thing. Do you have any advice? Does anyone here have anything, any nuggest of wisdom to help me get past the pre trip jitters? Additionally in regards to dude. the most powerful form of spice in dune is "the water of life" which is a combination of water and the secretions of a baby sand worm (or sand trout) dround in thar water. It's so powerful that it usually kills people who aren't specifically bread and trained to survive it. This was the last ordeal that unlocked Paul's space Jesus powers.
