that solo that goes before the "Tears in my eyes" is actually the bass going off, justin is just the heartbeat of this band, a literal bass god
@robertcanty97564 жыл бұрын
Even the biggest of Tool’s fans will confuse Justin with Adam when Justin is leading - he has this rare talent of great bass players to lead with a baseline rather than follow. Danny’s talent is unworldly, and because bass is so often overlooked or underestimated, Justin has shown since 1996 that he is one of the greatest guitarists of all time - and he did it on bass.
@norseca5424 жыл бұрын
@@robertcanty9756 his dynamics with Adam are rather interesting, because both guys played the other man's instrument before so it helps create this almost telepathic understanding. You're absolutely on point about Justin leading parts for example: Vicarious (i think) has this weird part when he goes ham, similar to this part on Invincible and i always thought it was Adam doing some funky stuff until last year when someone pointed it to me and i was like woah

He writes the grooves that they riff from. Adam obviously brings the Tool sound on the guitar, but the groove usually comes from Justin the bassist. According to him in am interview.

5:25 yes? Now that I got to the end of the video, I can tell you that laying in bed, eyes closed, 15 min after the album dropped on midnight is the way to go. When you do Culling Voices (second song from this one, we're close), I'll drop in the comments section and tell you the experience I had whilst listening to that song. Regarding driving and listening to this album, I do that. Songs by themselves, the whole apbum. It wouldn't be a great experience if it was your first time hearimg the album, but later on, hell yes. Loved the reactions. Can't wait to see the other three song reactions

The lady is actually bobbing her head correctly on the first listen, that’s really impressive. This grooves in this song are unbelievable but it can take a while for your mind to wrap around it

Most complete album I’ve enjoyed in a decade or so ……Tool never disappoints

When I think of complete albums I think of Pink Floyd, the Beatles. After a long gap comes Tool. No one does it like Tool these days.

I love seeing others who lose it while listening to TOOL. You can say I live VICARIOUSLY through your’s and others excitement. It gives me the warm fuzzies, and hope to know that others know. What a gift this band has been to all of us. What universal power brought these four together? TOOL has subconsciously taught an easier way to cope with the chaos that surrounds me. Not saying live is filled with chaos, by chaos I mean things out of my control. They have also taught to me see and acknowledge others emotions around me. It’s not good to get locked in your head for too long. Sorry for my ramblings. I just want to share my thoughts with you. You seem like the kind of guy that would get where my passion derives from. Can’t wait to your Descending reaction. Remember to spiral out with compassion, self respect, and friction.

I've been listening to Tool religiously since 1995 and in my humble opinion, "Fear Inoculum" is not just their best album to date (and thats saying a lot), but it is by far one of the greatest albums ever recorded. The musicianship is simply incredible and the songs writing and song structures are on a completely different level to anything they've ever recorded. And "Invincible" blows my mind every time I listen to it. Great video guys!!! New sub here and I love your channel!!

Been waiting days for you to finish editing this video. Great reaction you guys! I've been listening to this this album over and over since it came out. I still get this type of reaction when I listen to it. You have to go back and read the lyrics as you listen to these songs because they're so powerful. Love seeing your wife's reaction because I can tell she really enjoys it! Either that or she just enjoys watching you react as much as we do. Great job!

Another fantastic song and reaction by you and your lady. I’ve never been a Tool fan, but I believe I’ve been wrong...again. Also, just like I discovered Jinjer by just stumbling across them on KZbin, I discovered Alien Weaponry the other day. Holy shit. They made an album just for you two. It’s fantastic.
