hey, for all you people who are watching/binging these DMV driving test videos and are preparing for an upcoming test, you got this. Just be prepared and calm and you'll do fine. My biggest recommendation is to drive for a few hours right up until the test, it really helps with driving anxiety :) If it's your first test, sometimes failure can be your biggest advantage for your next one. To anyone here about to take their driver's test, I have some advice. 1. Don't be too nervous: This is a cliche but if you're gonna be like me, too nervous to even listen to the instructor and focus on driving, it's not time to take it. I was so nervous I messed up the hand signals! Thank god my instructor was really nice. 2. Unless you're in a city, try to get the earliest time when traffic is light. Also, you'll b the first driver the instructor tests that day, so they for sure are going to be more lenient. 3. Stop watching these videos: I know you think these videos are going to help or help your anxiety, it won't. Trust me. I watched at least 50 of these type of videos with parallel parking. I ended up changing the way I parallel park without even trying, and that came back to bite me in the butt cause I just barely parked correctly on my test. Just know whatever you were taught will pass you. 4. Good luck! Let me know how it went!

Went to take my test today, I was reversing in the parallel parking spot and my instructor cut me off and said “ok great job, now pull out and go to the main road”. I didn’t even get to finish parking, then I just had to make 1 right turn, and 5 lefts, another right, and another left. I was stressing that test so much, but it was so easy. So what I’m saying is, please don’t stress your test when you take it. It is so much easier than you think. Hope whoever reads this has an amazing day! And good luck on your test!

Passed my test today 12/10/2020 in Jamaica, Queens, NYC. I was nervous and but passed. My main advice is to get a lot of practice, especially with turning and parallel Parking, and remain calm. I almost messed up the Parallel parking, took me a while to correct myself and park correctly. That was in the beginning of the test, which led to me being a little off balance for the rest of the test. It’s best to be like the driver in this video, calm and confident. i just passed my drivers test today!! i was super nervous the whole time (my leg was shaking so bad that we had to sit in the car for a sec for me to regain my composure lmao), but my examiner was so nice! he was really patient with me and said i only missed marks on parking-he said my turns were more “round” than they should be. i just wanted to say watching all these vids really helped me, and i felt a lot more confident going into the test. my only piece of advice is to work on being calm, because it’ll make it 100x easier. good luck everyone!!

I just took mine yesterday man when I tell u I was nervous my knees were shaking and I was just so scared I was going to fail but right when I started driving I just focused on staying safe and to just follow the rules of the road , and I passed !! Now and days it’s quick and they are just making sure you are a confident safe driver . Know your hand signals , windshields wipers , blinkers , barking break, etc, just always chin to shoulder check, watch speed , smooth break/ go , left right left before each intersection, full stop at stop sign, always check mirrors, don’t stop past limit line. If you want more tips comment and I will make a video on how to prepare for your test ! ;) Also driving isn’t definitely a privilege! Always be aware of your surroundings and the other drivers ;) good luck to everyone with a test soon !

When I was in my 20s, I failed my driver's test 4 times and gave up. I said I'd never drive again. 15 years later and I have never driven again but I just got my permit and this time I am going to do it. @@rodriguez7198 For me, I practiced parking at the DMV where the test was at and familiarized myself with the roads around it for the road test. Practicing in the same car (or a similar sized car) to the one you're planning to take the test in helps a lot for parking. Otherwise, just stay calm and remember the rules of the road.

@@coulsonkyser9757 I imagine that the test is different for every state, and every instructor might be different as well, so keep that in mind. What I messed up on the most consistently was stopping behind the limit line (I have a tendency to stop on it) and not stopping completely. Pay attention that you aren't doing a 'hollywood stop' like I have a bad habit of doing (though I still passed!). Also, make sure that you're constantly looking both ways (with your head so that the instructor can see you) when you pull up to an intersection and before you drive through it. I really recommend watching more of these videos and getting a handle on how the DMV scores driving tests. Get some practice in beforehand once you're familiar with the grading criteria, observe yourself closely.

Honesty it’s not that bad once you start your test, all of the nerves leave once you’re in it. Just take a few deep breaths and focus and listen to what your instructor is telling you to do. Use safe and defensive driving and you should pass👍 I took mine recently and it was a piece of cake! Good luck!

definitely, here in my scummy town streets are so fking narrow that when driving some of the cars has to wait in the side of the road to give a chance to other cars to pass because there sre cars parked on both sided of the streets. i have no fucking clue why the government and the division that is in charge of traffic does not take care of this massive issues. just to mention there are many intersection with out stoplight, and these intersecs have 8 paths, you cant imagine the quantity of accidents and rage that occurs on these places.

As mentioned in the video, the key to passing your road test it to be prepared and be confident! Examiners aren't there to stress you out, but first impressions are key in shaping their outlook on the exam. october 25th is my test day. i failed the first time (on pre-drive.. i know, yikes) but i’m going to try again! i’m pretty nervous 😅 wishing anyone else who sees this passes the first time lol

I took my test today, literally practiced my parallel parking and 3 point turn 1 hour before I took the test, passed it :) honestly it was not as hard as I thought it was. Make sure you stop at the stop signs, stop lights, and smoothly accelerate/decelerate

All y’all bouta take your test needa relax and chill tf out. I took my test in downtown SF probably the most difficult place you can take a test. I passed with ease because i was very aware and attentive. Just remember to use your head movements and look around and look aware cause thats what examiners mainly look for. Stop being nervous. There is no reason too.

Rian Chesley parallel parking i actually find is very simple. What i do when i parallel park is make sure to lower my driver side mirror right before you back up. Make sure to angle your car properly and use all mirrors with your head movements. Make sure to be side by side next to the car that will be parked in front of yours. When i took my test in SF since its so busy they dont have us parallel park in the city, they just have us back up in a straight line. Just make sure to use your head movements cause that is very critical and also make sure you remember all the simple things. Just be confident in yourself and never have any doubts in your abilities

Anyone here whose about to take the test, exaggeration is key! make your scanning exaggerated; they are focused on the road as well and will not see you moving your eyes around. move your head a bit so they can see you are actually scanning

Only thing I didn’t do was parallel parking for mine. Thank goodness for that, I can only park extremely well if I reverse park. Driving tests are easy, parking isn’t my thing

It was so easy - just parallel park, three point turn, 50 ft backup, and then backup to the dmv! Also, if you’re nervous for your upcoming test, don’t be. It truly is not as bad as you are thinking it is 😉

I failed my driving test 3 times already and I just don't know how to pass. I've been driving for over a year with a permit and I try to move on to get my license. I do good in general driving, but every time I go take a test, I fail. I probably get nervous with the examiner. I'm going back for the 4th time next month and hopefully I could pass. I'm really upset I didn't pass because I was so excited to get my driver's license, but it didn't happen. Oh well, 4th times the charm and I'm sure I'll pass the next time.

I have my test April 16. I’m an incredibly anxious person and it affects my driving. I totaled my mom’s SUV about 4+ months ago on a guardrail (Wasn’t a bad collision but the computer was ruined) and now I feel like every time I drive I’m going to get in an accident.
